Gamma lids are more expensive, but they are far better that the standard five gallon buckets ones. I've been doing this for a while and one think that is a valuable addition for your bland rice and beans is bulk bouillon, not expensive and can add a lot of flavor. I am well past storing the bulk starches for my own use, but I have neighbors who prep only a little if at all. Feeding them is better than shooting them. Trading them something I won't eat anyway is a cheap safety measure.

I actually have gamma lids on all my buckets I just needed up cutting that part from the video as well. Definitely need a part 2,3,4

@@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP I have found at least 2 vids talking NEGATIVE about MYLAR. # 1 was Sunshine State survival channel talking about NEW preppers should NOT use Mylar Bags # 2 was by PROVIDENT PREPPER talking about MYLAR BAGS are NOT magical. Maybe You will understand why those channels are saying NO to MYLAR? I have also seen subjects talking about MYLAR BAGS are to be BANNED???

one thing my wife and i thought of ... is it smart to store all your supplies in one spot . flooding , fire , hurricane , looters etc etc . we have 3 spots we hid supplies for 2 weeks .

Good list of things to start on. I'd also recommend to add salt to the list. And if you get just regular salt with nothing added to it, you can use it for curing too.

It hit the cutting room floor but i mentione in there we have 4 five gallon bucket of salt which is overkill im gonna do a follow up on water, spices and protein/fat
