If you get closer to the pieces when you’re disintegrating them, the percentage of lost material (-19% in the video) will decrease and can, in fact, even become positive so you get bonus material.

The percent is not meant for the material gain it’s for the time it takes to desintergrade the piece

PSA: - The Tractor beam is not a bug, Don't replace it with a scraper. - Replace the chinchs with trawler modules. - use The Tractor to move and rotate the ship while scrapping the hull (its like peeling a potato) - After breaking the ship, use the Tractorbeam to rotate a broken piece Piece and get it closer to you to gain up to +20% yield. Also don't forget to move it to side and just pulverize one at a time - You can switch modules on each arm seperately, you don't have to switch both at once

Doesn't the Trawler lose to much materials though? I tend to stick to 2x Abrade.

@@klebbe1- much is relative but yes it has a lower yield, one can also stick to abrade. But personally i would avoid the chinch, it takes way too long

@@TheRealFreakaros Agreed, i never use Cinch as the low difference in efficiency doesn't warrant the loss of speed, where i think the Trawler does with it's quite high efficiency loss.

agreed, the Abrade is the wheelhouse for efficiency and speed. Would never waste so much with a Trawler. I swap out Tractor Beam and go Abrade X2 @@klebbe1

"Mostly salvaged" random lazer cuts all over and 65% left on the hull to scrape. "just one trip" also my Starunner got here by itself, hilarious.

If you're doing the 50K salvage missions, don't forget to SCAN the ship in scan mode as they can have goodies in the cargo hold like quantanium (with no timer), gold etc usually 2-3 crates of each.

Hi Erad, great video! Note, if you press ALT A, and then right click, it changes each side on it's own. (Also, ALT D selects the right side only, and ALT S returns to both selected. Takes some getting used to.) Thus, I scrap with the big guy on the right, and the fine one on the left. If you ever bump into the ship, then just use the tractor to re-stabilize it.

A vulture can hold 26 boxes with 13 in the hopper making it have 39 SCU of RMC. A Hercules can net you 900k on RMC alone with a vulture and if you add into the internal cargo (quant, gold) it can pump it up by 30k up to 800k if you're lucky.

If you're good at stacking you can hold 25 boxes + 13 in the filler 👍

ALT-A fires the left beam only ALT-D fires the right beam only ALT-W fires both beams - changes from fracture/disintegrate mode if you are in these modes ALT-S changes to fracture/disintegrate mode Right Click to change types of beams - 2 scrapers to scraper and tractor and back... The abrade scraper is decent and the one I would recommend - The Cinch is too slow in my opinion...

The abrade covers a larger area but you get marginally less RMC. The cinch does fine work and you get a BIT more but it takes longer.

Be aware there is a bug that may cause some hull scraping to not actually fill the buffer. Make sure you monitor the SCU rates and make sure your depot increases. Scraped a MSR and nothing went into the buffer.

you can get 23-25 box's in the vultures hold plus the 13 to be made , got 36 boxes off of a MSR last night , sold at NB commons as could make and tractor the box's while parked there

The Taurus is great to do this with. You can park the Taurus next to one of the open pads. Then, pull your vulture up in front of the Taurus and use the ship tractor beam to move all your cargo.

That Sentinel was "mostly" hull scrapped? Um... there was a lot more than that you could peel off. But it looks like you used the Cinch heads instead of the Abrade or Trawler. They're really efficient and recover almost everything, but it's like cleaning the hull with your toothbrush. I have all three salvaging heads fitted with Abrades. Then it's either two Abrades or one Abrade and a tractor beam in case I need to reposition something. I've never drawn anything on a wreck though... and for that you really need the Cinch since the other two are too wide. 🤣

i would imagine you can do either or. jump to a moon location point in a direction and head out a set distance noting direction and distance from the marker you started at. your death marker will disappear eventually so mapping direction and distance would be the way to go. @@leslieviljoen

Yela clean up missions. You are welcome. The mission completes as as soon as you fracture the ship. Then you can gather up the material if you like.

If you go to the Orison/Cousin Crows you can buy the salvage head 2x(Trawler head) and then go to the salvage with vulture :)

So, assuming you don't have a friend to transport you, I assume you landed your MSR then committed suicide to get back and retrieve the Vulture? Seems the only way to do this, but maybe I'm missing something obvious.

It’s so hard to stay awake while salvaging. I would almost rather roc mine and collect hadenite. Salvaging takes forever!!!

Please don't replace the tractor beams that's bad advice lol, just replace the 2 cinches with abrades or trawlers, u can use the tractor beams and solo scraper for some fun gameplay with smaller ships. Lock the scraper on and use the tractor beams to move the small ship around rather than your entire vulture.

grimex is the best place for sell fast from salvage (6k for each construction material) in yela but you can be kill by bandit player, already happen to me with a full reclaimer ^^
