I've visited Amsterdam about 15 times & have never caught a tram yet - walking is so easy & so pleasurable.

Haha you must love Amsterdam a lot to have visited 15 times! I do walk most places but one of my workplaces is an hour away by public transport, and weather is not always cooperative!

Hey Leesa! I wanted to say thank you for another informative and helpful video! I'm actually in the middle of planning for my move to Amsterdam next month and this video just came at the right time. :) Also congratulations on the new place! Can't wait to see it on your next uploads!

Thanks for sharing Leesa! We just moved here from Sydney (I slid into your DMs a few months ago), and we are trying to watch our spending without having to sacrifice too much of experiencing a new city (so hard to juggle!). Keep the videos coming!

Yes, I also always feel like it’s a balancing act! I find cost of living in Amsterdam to be so much higher than Sydney. But I also want to have a nice time while I’m here! Luckily there are also lots of fun free things to do around town :)

Hi Leesa! I love your videos! I was so nervous when you said, "this will be the last video..." because I thought you might be quitting KZbin or moving away from Amsterdam. I am so glad that you are still going to be here. I hope you love your next apartment! Can wait to see your next video.

Such a fun week & helpful video! What are the fitness costs in AMS? I've noticed you take advantage of class pass - are there any other tips you have, re: gym memberships, trainers, etc? Thanks always!
@LeesaYu2 жыл бұрын
Glad that you found this video helpful! There are lots of options here - main gyms are Fit For Free (which is confusingly not for free - membership ranges from €15-25/month), Train More, Basic Fit, and David Lloyd. I’m pretty sure Fit for Free is the cheapest of these 4 but the gyms all run lots of promos here so you can check it out closer to when you are thinking of joining. Another alternative to ClassPass is One Fit. No info about personal trainers sorry!

Thank you so much for this video! Also a new expat, and here in Rotterdam! This is very helpful. Regarding subscription in NS, I am still confused how my husband can enjoy the 40% discount. What to do to activate that? Hehe, sorry for the question. But know that I love your channel (especially the one with meeting friends). It is so hard to meet new people :(
@LeesaYu2 жыл бұрын
I hope you're enjoying life in Rotterdam! The answer to your question is in my Public Transport video :) Basically you have 2 options: - Your husband can purchase an NS flex subscription. There are different types. The cheapest one (2 EUR per month) gives you 40% off weekends, and then there are others which give you 40% off weekdays (peak/offpeak) & weekends - Any NS flex subscription holder can also give the same 40% discount for up to 3 other passengers who are travelling with them even if you don't have an NS flex subscription. All you have to do is activate the discount at the station via the yellow & blue NS ticket machines, or activate the discount via the NS app.
