There's such competition out there for dog bandana businesses. I wish I'd got into it a few years ago - or whenever the Cricut machines first came out. I've watched how it progressed. ( Lesson - "Just Do It" as the old Nike ad once had it. _You snooze, you lose_ etc. ) Personalisation seems to have worked wonders for those who've been really successful. I'd still like to have a go, but I need to find a niche. I suspect it's all been done though. You should be very proud of yourself for actually selling some bandanas. Really. Valentine's Day soon - try and think of something that's not been done. Or maybe I'll beat you to it ( lol ). Good luck!

Thanks so much for your comment, I've replied in my recent video! It's true how a lot of people are doing dog bandanas at the moment but I guess it also means that more people are interested and buying them for their dogs! It's hard to find a niche but like you've said you've just got to give it a go, there's another saying I like: 'nothing ventured, nothing gained'. If you enjoy making bandanas, which I do, then it's still a great hobby to have. That's what keeps me going with it on the days I don't make any sales. What do you need in terms of material when starting this business, I was thinking of doing this as well in my area.

you can start with a meter of your chosen fabric! Then once you have made a couple of bandanas using that meter, sell them and use the profit to buy some more material. It's a great way of starting small and scaling up! In terms of the material type, cotton is a good start! Hope this helps :-)

a whole $29. girl you made more than me my first month. if i don't count family i made zero on my websites. and only $92 at my first craft fair and the table was $150. so i technically made negative my first month.

@@BD-fz7bq that’s better than nothing! you need to consider if you would have capacity to make more when you do start getting orders in more regularly! Hows the Marketing going? Are you growing a following on social media? Could you look to sell at a craft fair / market in your local area to boost sales? Are you including little messages with every order & a 10% off code to encourage repeat orders?
