Hi Kyle. Thanks for the video. Happy to hear more will be coming in 2022. Here are some things that make your videos so pleasurable to watch. You act like a normal person. You're humble. You appreciate beer. You speak slowly and explain things in a way that's easy for anyone to understand. You don't sound like you're reading from a script. March 2020 was lockdown and that may account for an uptick in your income because so many were online...shopping, watching videos, learning new things. That is actually when I decided to learn how to use my camera. I'd buy your merch! Keep 'em coming. 😊📸

Hey, just thought I’d share that you are the exact reason I started uploading. Got a long way to go yet, but your advice and the way you explain KZbin as an income source are still things I think about every week when I upload. Hope you’re doing well, and I’m sure your audience will treat you well when you decide to come back.

Thank you for the information. This is better than signing up and paying for a MLM that says the same as all the other MLMs out there. You deliver it straight up without the hard sell.
@kyletaggart3 жыл бұрын
I freaking hate MLM’s. They never share their monthly income or year report on how much they earned, because 99% of them are losing money. KZbin as a side hustle isn’t for everyone, but it can be a great source of income and fun if you understand it. KZbin can be a full time thing too, it’s incredible.

Nice that You are sharing your numbers... I'm remarkably smaller "creator" as You are and also maybe a bit more like a semi vlogging type of DIY videos. Been monetized for maybe almost two years now and slowly learning how the play goes inside KZbin. For Your knowledge been using A6300 for my camera gear for couple of years now and been watching your reviews a lot during these years so thanks for those! What I was thinking about this KZbin in general is that it is continuously evolving playground and I also quess that "the rules" are not that clear either. There is a severe competition on the views available and also the years are very much different to each other... One key thing is that KZbin does not share is the total amount of adds what they have been able to sell and how much the total view in youtube has been with all the creators. So the share of the cake is not that easy money and probably will be harder also when number of creators is "exponentially" growing. I'm also guessing that number of creators will some day stay more on certain level since this was not the place for easy money as people are slowly to starting to notice that ;)

Thanks for checking my videos out! And hope you’re having fun with your channel. Couple things to note: I’m someone who recognizes other channels do it better than me, but when it comes down to it, there are just too many eyeballs out there. Someone else doing well in my niche just makes it better for me and other creators. If someone makes some baller video on the a6000 and gets millions of views, the people who watched that will probably be shown my videos as well. As for opportunity, I feel, and I truly believe this, KZbin is the best platform for making a career. Second would be TikTok. KZbin Pays 55% of ad revenue to creators, and keeps 45%. That may change but since its inception it hasn’t. To circle back on the competition thing, it also goes hand in hand with there being so many ways now to make better videos. Cameras are cheaper, more accessible, phones can do it all, there are videos showing you how to tell a story, edit, make graphics. There are more people making videos than ever, but it’s also easier than ever to be good at it - but not everyone takes it serious. Hope you have an awesome 2022!

Hi Kyle! Thanks for sharing. I truly appreciate your honesty with your supporters, both with contents and with ideas for the future of your channel.. a milestone in Sony's APS-C world, really. Personally I'm interested in digital contents, post-production tutorials and.. well, you know, astrophotography. I don't know if an italian opinion can be useful for you, I hope the best for your future (inside.. and outside the channel!).. and, again, congratulations for your wedding! Regards.

Hi Kyle, Discovered your content recently, love it, hope the break is going well. Do you have data on how much your old videos are viewed vs the newer ones ? What interests me here is an estimate of how much would the channel make if you stopped posting forever.
@kyletaggart Жыл бұрын
Hello, and thanks for the kind words! I of course have data, however a KZbin’s channel’s earnings fluctuates. My most viewed video recently has been the top 10 APSC lenses one. However I have some older videos (camera modes explained) that still get views. For adsense alone, the months I haven’t posted it’s been relatively consistent, however due to the nature of new cameras etc it has been slowly going down. This year it’s been between $130-$175 a month for just Adsense. Where as a year prior it was $130-$350 per month. If you had a topic that was evergeen and even more generalized, you could have a smaller downward slope as the months/years pass. Between Adsense/Amazon affiliate income, I still make $300-$600 a month from this channel. This was always a goal of mine when I pivoted to cameras, and it’s kind of wild to me even to this day. KZbin is so incredibly powerful. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Suggestion for a future video: All about camera batteries. Is it okay to buy brands other than Sony? If so, what brands do you recommend? How many photos can be expected from a battery and what factors influence that? Methods for charging... In camera/in charger. What chargers do you recommend? What is expected battery life, i.e. how many times can you recharge them? Just a suggestion 😊
@kyletaggart2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I have some Power Extra and Wasabi. I recommend the dual chargers where you can see the battery life. Here is one I own myself. geni.us/PowerExtra There are a ton out there, but I own two of those, I bought them years ago. I believe there are fancier ones now. You can plug the charger into your computer, or use a power brick (I use my ipad one). You can charge via a usb cable directly to your camera, but I find it takes forever. I recommend having 3 batteries. With the dual charger, I usually have one in my car at all times (car has usb ports). You can get chargers for the old school lighter outlets as well. Batteries do have a lifespan of effectiveness, meaning they will lose their efficiency over time - just like a phone. As for battery saving tips, turning off any feature that you don't need helps. Screen brightness, viewfinder brightness, etc. Turning on airplay mode is also a battery saver. As for how many photos per battery, that all depends on the things I just listed. The sony a6000 is rated for 300ish shots per charge.
@1956jude2 жыл бұрын
@@kyletaggart Thanks for all that typing Kyle. Good info. One thing I've noticed is that using a manual lens results in significant battery power savings.
