As I recall the story, it was Julius Boros who casually wore an Amana promotional hat during a tournament without a second thought or any pay. But the visual impact he made is what gave the company the sponsorship idea.

Very interesting and informative video. I was hoping that you would specifically address current Nike contracts with their players. I noticed about three years ago that any PGA player wearing Nike has no other logos on their clothing whatsoever. So, I assume that Nike prohibits other sponsors with their contracted players?

Endorsing products you don’t regularly and actively use before and during your deals should be criminal and outlawed. It’s false advertisement at best for most of the products endorsed by celebrities and athletes.

How ironic it is that Woods inked a $40 million contract before ever teeing off as a pro, yet he trashed every golfer who went to LIV because he believed the lucrative deals they were getting would make them "not hungry"? Been a fan of Woods since he first became pro but you have to admit, that is some hypocritical trash talk.

Tiger and Rory have invested in companies with PGA licensing rights. Don't get it confused. That has been the main issue for years. Anything a player does at a PGA event is owned by the PGA. These are individual contractors but can't control their name, image and likeness while at the course. LIV doesn't put any restrictions on the players while at events.

As always, it we the regular players that pay for all this stupid commercial, expensive equipment and sponsorship. It's sick,the equipment you buy more than 70% goes to this idiocy of commercials, and ridiculous payment to the players at the top.
