That was a good idea to discount the stay for 5 start guests. We loved the clips of the design of your space. Very beautifully done.

Is there any way to get in touch with you to get some help with trying to get into this tiny house idea and starting airbnb? Im 31 and I live in Las Vegas and I don't really know anyone out here. I would really appreciate your help however that may be and I could compensate you for your time. Thank you so much.

Hi Miranda. As of right now there really is not a permissible route to take with tiny homes as Airbnb's. We are currently working with zoning and planning to allow permanent tiny homes. Once this gains a bit more traction we could definitely have a conversation.

I missed something .what are you living in if you did air bnb ? Are you in a different tiny home
@FarOutTinyHomes3 жыл бұрын
This was our first time home we built back in 2017. Once we lived in it for two years we then turned it into an Airbnb. Then COVID hit and we took it off the market. For now we live in a normal sized home. We are working with local officials to legalize tiny homes! It’s a slow process but one day we hope things will change.

@@FarOutTinyHomes I found you I think 7-8 months ago. I am supportive of what you are doing. I have tried to find someone like you to speak with for the cause. I am in so cal and am thankful for you. Yes some of us have been burned on air bnb. Sucks but people are a little different to put it kindly. Thankful someone young and intelligent is trying to make it happen. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I think that’s great how are you decided to price your stuff and allowing customers to be able to stay just one night if that’s all they wanted to do a lot of these places are so greedy Well the owners and operators are… That they refuse to allow you to choose how long you plan to stay and they don’t do anything extra and they charge you $100-$150 just for the cleaning and that’s really your responsibility in my opinion it shouldn’t be the customer‘s responsibility now I understand as an operator and an owner that that’s kind of also a deterrent and asking the person to be responsible because if they do anything they shouldn’t do where they go over and above being disrespectful then yes I can see how somebody might want to charge extra but they treat everybody as they’re the same and to charge an exorbitant amount it’s really asking people to scroll right by your listing I don’t care if you’re super host or not I know that because I’m a customer to so this is just part of what people have to go through you have to live you have to learn and if you have all these fears and you treat people not like a welcome guest than your age gonna lose business or you’re going to track the wrong customer no matter how much they pay for cleaning deposit or how much you received per night isn’t really going to make it worth it in the end because it’s really not about the money it’s about the experience I happen to be looking into some of the listings that you had posted that for rent tiny homes one of them actually had the audacity to charge almost $400 a night and then cleaning charge was also pretty hefty there’s no way I’m gonna lay down that kind of money not even for a luxury hotel I’ll just move onto the next option To me it’s indicative of a complicated person he doesn’t have any trust or faith and they’re acting out of fear and I just don’t wanna do business with someone like that I want to go and have a good time have a change of scenery and not have to think about ramifications as if I wasn’t a cleanly person or a considerate person There’s a lot of teenagers and young adults that are party animals but when I go away it’s just because I need a change of scenery and some rest and relax station it isn’t so I can party or entertain Mind you I’m 53 years old so you can also very simply decide not to rent people under the age of whatever and even though that might not win you any favors your customer base that you’re trying to attract will probably appreciate that because there’s things they probably wouldn’t have to deal with What I mean by that is younger crowd people are going to do things that older crowd people are not not always of course I imagine some older people are pretty shameless and would do just about anything in anyone’s bed I am the other hand would not and I prefer not to stay in a place where I imagine that sort of thing is happening Clean sheets are not enough If there were unclean people who were doing unsavory things that energy or the residue of it is still lingering and chances are they’re probably hopping from hotel room to other places where they can lay up and you don’t know what type of bugs they might be bringing in as well I’m not suggesting anyone should use chemicals in their house Just to air on the side of safety but I imagine you understand what I’m saying like if I wanted to stay in a hotel and then I would be taking that chance no matter how much I paid bedbugs is a real problem Pretty much everywhere even the classier hotels and even if you have an exterminator it’s not easy to get rid of them I’m seriously not the kind of person to even sleep on the mattress I will sleep on top of the bedding but there’s no guarantee because bedbugs live inside the mattress or close by because well you’re the source of food Can you bring your stuff you can be trucking that nonsense and that’s part of the problem that hotels have had there’s too much traffic and the type of traffic does matter

Ugh! Tell me about it. I’m not sure why a tiny home on Airbnb is the absolute devil. It’s unfortunate. I think if they understood what we offer our clients they might take pause to their negativity. It’s alright though. Thanks so much for tuning in. You are appreciated.
