Since the power factor is not unity (1.0) the amp draw is not relevant. The Watt number would tell something more usable if looking at the /cost/ of running this.

So, it maxes out at about 293W of power draw. I have a 60W JPT MOPA on the way -- it will be interesting to see how that compares. I'm anticipating around 845W draw for the 60W (around 7A).

Does the fiber laser cutting produce a lot of metal dust in surroundings?
@jefferyj4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's best to use some kind of dust/fume extractor as well as an enclosure.

How do you like the 20w? Have you had any situations, where you thought "I should have gotten 30/50/60w"? 😁

Is this still the machine you showed in your first video? I am interested in buying one of these machines. How much did yours cost? Would be a great help if you answered these questions for me! Thanks in advance!

Yes, same machine. It cost $3325.

@@jefferyj It seems like a good quality machine then! Thank you for answering! Does your machine have a brand name?

@@boardstopia Hello Sir! If I can make a sugestion to you, I have bought already 4 fiberlaser machines from this factory in China. Quality is good, if you accept sugestion for little difference you can ask them to put JTP brand laser, little better than Raycus. The contact details are as follow: Doris Xing, Whatsapp/Wechat:+8615990992073, doris.lasermachine@gmail.com Beside machine quality you will get a very good support. There are 15 years that I make business with China, we are a textile company, is the best aftersale suuport I ever get from a chinese company/ Hope I could help you with my suggestion.

Cool, how thick aluminium it can cut in one go? what is the cost of this laser and if you could send the link to buy it.
@jefferyj5 жыл бұрын
In one pass...very thin. Basically aluminum foil. I bought it from ebay...If you buy from ebay, make sure to ask the seller beforehand if the laser has a genuine BJJCZ board.

Hi Jeffery first you motivated me to go for a fiber laser. Thanks I have a question if I take a 50w does it make sense to take 110 lense + 300mm ? We will be doing die and signs
@jefferyj4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's good to have a few sizes especially if you need a 300.

What settings would you use to cut a piece of silver or gold from a 0.7 mm sheer
@jefferyj5 жыл бұрын
That's deeper than i can easily get through. The spec on this laser is a max of 0.3mm depth...and that's with multiple passes.
@JSAFIXIT4 жыл бұрын
That's actually really low power consumption. The exhaust system is the biggest power user I'd be willing to bet.

Jeffery, hello! I am Marcos from Brazil ... I have the same machine as the same software. I would like to ask a great help. If you can provide a file of a drawing that needs to use different layers to deepen for example 0.30mm I thank you. I can not do this. The maximum area is 100mm my setting.
@jefferyj5 жыл бұрын
You'll need to set up different hatches for each depth of your artwork. You may find it helpful to duplicate and overlap the artwork for more flexibility. I don't have any files on hand that do this at the moment.
