1:40 That was not logical to me. My brain knowing nothing about lasers said. All pulses are 10% more pulses over a smaller area = more power. That seems logical to me. Still trying grasp why more pulses = less powerful? Like if I have a gun and I shoot x1 bullet at something Vs shooting 1000 bullets at something? Logically if all the bullets are the same (like each pulse is 10%?) then surely 1000 bullets is way more destructive? Can anyone explain the mistake I’m making to me? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have a customer would like to prenet buring twice over an existing burn. Do we gave a way to fi that. For example, mount fixed scanner and scanbif a burn exists it will not allow the foot paddle to function. Any idea?

This is fabulous for single sided PCB prototyping. By the way, Adobe and Autodesk are evil. I suggest you use open source and free alternatives to illustrator and EzCad like KiCad. Also through hole vias need to be electroplated in order to work properly with multi-layer boards, so in that case it probably is much easier to use a professional pcb manufacturer like JLPCB.

Genmitsu Z5-1 Fiber Laser Engraver, Desktop And yes, you do an excellent job explain but I need it from the beginning just the software. I have a 70 mm x 70 mm size. I need to know how to set that I'm starting to get familiar with it. I've been spending several hours a day playing with the software. not sure how to rotate items like letters and text. Do you have a recommendation? I've seen several other videos out there, but they're terrible. They have music in the background and they're not explaining anything and all I see is a mouse moving from one point to the next, which tells me nothing at all. I've looked on. udemy in the courses in Spanish, which helps me not all. I hope you know something more current than four years.

Hi Jeffery, long time since you posted. When you do this graph, when you change parameters in layer parameter settings, do you have to do each layer independently? I have 70 layers and have gone through and changed pramaters in every single layer. Now I have to go back to change mark speed to 500 on every layer. Is there a quicker way of doing that?

Laser depth not work

Since the power factor is not unity (1.0) the amp draw is not relevant. The Watt number would tell something more usable if looking at the /cost/ of running this.

Nice video! I just got a Gweike G2 and am testing it out. At first the laser wouldn't shut off and kept marking even when the marking had ended. I called their tech support and it appears to be their cable. If you unplug the cable and reverse it, it fixes the issue. My question is. Have you tried marking computer chassis metal (electrogalvanized steel)? When I try to mark text on it it works fine, but when I attempt images, it doesn't mark at all. I contacted their tech support and they just tell me to try different materials, which doesn't help if my goal is to mark that type of material. Anyways, loved to see different settings effects on aluminum. Thank you!

I would absolutely just spray a regular paint or something as a resist, and use the laser to remove the paint before ferric chloride etching.
