Found out about you because of the Accord videos as I’m a fellow owner and enthusiast myself. I must say I’ll be staying with this channel regardless as you are great at reviewing cars and getting in depth. The Lexus is beautiful.

This video really resonated with me. I currently own an Accord Euro, which I love. Funnily enough, my dream car is an ISF, so saying that it reminds you of the Euro only makes me want an ISF more!

Such a great induction sound these 2URs make! To be fair that low rpm torque is pretty strong! By comparison a 1UZ 4.0 V8 from 30 years ago makes around 300nm or so of wheel torque at the 4500 peak, so the IS-F making 370nm from as low as 2400rpm is nothing to complain about. My 4.3L 3UZ manage to make 417nm at the wheels at 3000rpm which is pretty good for one of those. Of course hub vs roller dyno differences will add into the mix comparing these kinds of numbers too.

nice video overall, especially for is f owner, interesting fact is that mine showed near same numbers on dyno, and if you put in sport mode 4:10 it downshifts faster than that.
@KiwiCarLife11 ай бұрын
Thanks man, and at 4:10 I was in manual locked in 2nd gear demonstrating the power band so not sure what you mean? Sport mode only changes throttle response

Pretty decent power for an 'old' stock na car, the v8s that make more torque down low usually don't rev like the 2ur, good result

Yeah man it's a good combo where it's got power and torque to give. And a great sound too

Hey bro I’ve had a Honda Accord euro cl7 and now am wanting to upgrade to a Lexus is250 and came to your Chanel to find a speed test for the euro and realise you have owned both and would like to ask how you compare the 2 with speed and engine ?
@KiwiCarLife Жыл бұрын
This CL7 you’ve had, is it a Euro R, or base k20. Coz that’ll change my answer drastically

You tempted to get some longtubes or decent headers for the IS-F? The stock ones are a joke. Remap too?

I could be wrong but shouldn't there be a second fan feeding the secondary intake through the drivers side?
@KiwiCarLife Жыл бұрын
The fan is to pass air through the radiator not to feed the intake

Dont forget also, an M3 4.0 V8 makes 400nm peak torque at the crank, so the IS-F is considerable stronger, through out the torque band.

it probably uses double the amount of fuel too lol. How much range does the ISF get and kpl/litres per 100km?
