Short story time. When I was a kid, I brought my console over to my grandma's house to play Sonic Unleashed. I played it in her living room as she and her friend watched. I'll never forget how they commented on how destructive Sonic was as I ran through Rooftop Run, blowing through people's houses and outdoor furniture. I scoffed at the idea because "Sonic is the hero," but as I got older I realized... I'm sure insurance companies don't cover for "Acts of Sonic the Hedgehog."

People forget that Sonic's principals aren't for a moral code. He believes that NO ONE should be oppressed, hero, neutral, or villan, no matter where you stand you should be given that choice to change, not be forced into it. So a goverment that wants to contain him because he moves at the speed of sound (Even if it is to save people's property and lives...if you ignore the fact they use a giant semi-truck with saws that goes through builds and tears roads.) is not something he agrees with. I feel like the fairest way to calculate this is to do what you did by showing the absolute maximum level of damage you can cause, but then you should also do a Playthru where you see what is the absolute minimum level of damage you can cause, and then take the average from those two outcomes.

I'd honestly say that ChatGPT underestimated the cost of most of these military drones. Unmanned military drones cost anywhere from around a million to several million dollars. That's not even getting into stuff like jet planes and tanks, which can cost dozens of millions each. I can see teleportation tech by itself costing 60 million dollars easily regardless of what it's attached to, considering an F-16 costs 60-70 million dollars and that jet fighter sure as shit can't teleport.

In regards to cars, the vast majority of Crown Victorias that see taxi service are former police cruisers with their police equipment removed and the rear doors - that can't be opened or unlocked from the inside for obvious reasons - swapped out for the doors on your standard Panther Platform. Crown Victoria, Marauder, Town Car, etc. While every other car could be classed at base-level trim, factor in the starting price of the dedicated Crown Victoria Police Interceptor trim and it could be significantly higher.

I actually try my absolute hardest to dodge the cars in city escape because I don't want to cause property damage. It's up to the player to decide if Sonic causes property damage or not. I still try to avoid them to this day. I'm a law abiding citizen, what can I say?

Further Proof Sonic Is A Menace To Society. This becomes even worse when you consider how many more laws Sonic breakthrough out the game. I mean just think about metal harbor, and how many millions of dollars are worth of military equipment sonic destroyed without a second thought. Even if you try arguing that G.U.N was corrupt at one point due to the cover up of the Ark Raid, they are still supposed to be our standing for the military in this universe. So sonic pretty much crippled United Federation’s defense department, right before Eggman held the world hostage. Great video on the maximum possible damage cost you can cause in this level. I wish I could record myself playing through this level naturally 10 times , and watching back the footage to calc the destruction cost each time, then averaging it out. Then I could see how much damage Sonic causes when I'm playing as him. I'd just have to avoid killing the teleporting drone, since that's a big outlier. I've played through City Escape hundreds of times. Because as a kid, it was a decently prominent thing on youtube to try to beat it in under 2 minutes.
