My thoughts too. I do car detailing a fair bit outside my normal job and if given a Type R, I'd be on it for about 7 hours and that's just for a reasonable paint correction.

You can swap a 1.6 16V into it... You can find one in a C2 VTS or a Saxo VTS for like 500-ish bucks depending on where your at.

I’m 16 years old and just got a license. I’ve been excitedly looking at used cars for years and I can’t find a decent affordable option for me as I love a little bit of extra juice but I have a limiting budget. The EP3 to me is what the Corrado VR6 was to my dad, a proper attainable dream car with bags of character. I think I should be considered for winning the EP3 because it's easily one of my favourite cars of all time, and the silver Celica I bought a while back after watching your Awesome Affordable Cars episode is an MOT away from death by rust (which I'm sure Alex is familiar with). I'm also local to you guys, which should make for easy pick-up. Big fan of the channel, thanks to Autoglym, and good luck to everyone! @@Bencooper403 Mine has precisely these problems, errhm((prepares throat to speak)): - Rear axle beam bearings and torsion bars worn out(one wheel cambered negative and car lowered due to it) - ABS problems, not sure what exactly - Right view mirror cable snapped - Handbrake cable snapped - Clogged injector(cleaned it with cleaner I guess, I hope I had) - Bad paint job done - Slight surface rust on only one side skirt - Stabilizator link worn, or engine or transmission mount/s - Thermal problems, engine overheats due to fan not turning on at correct temperature (could be thermostat, thermal switch, or some sensor) - Speakers have huge amount of distortion - Door lock actuator problem, pops a Stop and Attention light on dash - Exhaust leak(will weld the pipe up) - Valve cover gasket probably blown That's all I think, typing this while at work. Rear axle is what really bothers me alot. I recommend that you get a OBD2 diagnostics scanner and check what's causing the check engine light to come on. My scanner is arriving in two weeks, can't wait to get a headache 😭😭😂😂😂

I'm currently undertaking my driving test and looking for a powerful, fun-filled and cool car to hang out in during the summer and flex during my first year at university. A perfect summer car to blast down a twisty English B-road, I have a Honda itch that I’ve never scratched and the pre-facelift EP3 is one of them ‘teenage-hood heroes’ that I could never afford as a 17 year old after passing my test. Recently my Grandad passed away quite suddenly. He was a big part of mine and my Dads life’s, going racing with him on the weekends or to car shows was always something to look forward. After spending a weekend camping watching Rallycross at Lydden Hill, we had said about wanting to go to an abroad track such as the Nurburgring, Spa or Monaco to watch a big racing event. So if I won this car I’d like to surprise my Dad by taking him to a track day at one of these tracks or watching a big race meeting there in memory of my Grandad. We would be sharing the drive there in a fantastic car and visiting different tracks and places along the way, making a little holiday out of it in the summer. When I was a young one I had dreams of having an EP3 Type R. When I eventually got to afford buyinv one I was ecstatic. Four weeks later a deer ran out in front of me and yep, fully wrote it off. That was a couple of years ago- I still miss that short time I had with that VTECH!

I would love to trip the car back to Hungary, which would be my first huge motoring experience. It would build a huge bond to the car, and I would drive it daily, while taking good care of it. It would really be the perfect first sporty vehicle for a 22 year old guy, with a great interest in cars, but not in the position to get into the car world. I hope that's a good reason for me to win it. Love the project cars, keep up the good work!

Awesome little cars, driven an old work colleagues model. His was modified but I got the idea. Standard car must be awesome.
