I lost 130 lbs in a year with IF, cardio and keto to get to my target weight. I kept it off for about 4 months then put 40 lbs back on in 2 months before I decided I wasnt going back down that road. It has been much more difficult this time around but I have lost about 20 of those 40 lbs but it has taken me about a year to do it. Still keeping a healthy lifestyle and it has been great for my mental health regardless.

Great work! Slower weight loss lets you create habits that are harder to break, so that 20lbs shouldn't come back :-)

All I see is people saying they went off keto and started eating bad again. Stop eating so much junk and keep working out you'll be fine. Losing weight will always be an effort. It's not a do it once and done thing

The worst thing we can do is read other people’s astronomical losses of 30lbs and up in a couple of months If you have a lot to lose, you can lose it super crazy fast. If you have less than 30lbs to lose, you won’t lose it fast at all. That’s when the recommended maximum healthy loss amounts come in. So when someone says they lost x large amount in y shirt time - the question is - what was the start weight?

I lost 120 lbs doing keto and IF...100 lbs in the first 6 months… then 20 lbs in the next 3 months 😊👍😉 and I was 66 years old and fat and lazy 🤣

Last time I did keto I lost 10kg in the first 2 weeks. This time it's been 2 weeks so far and I've only lost 2 kg. Maybe it's because this time my starting weight was 13kg lower than last time. Less water weight.

Hi When you said about maintaining the weight that we've lost, did you mean that we slowly start adding carb to our diet and with time break ourself out of keto, and then after the maintenance part, we start over once again with keto ? Sorry, if its a stupid question but ... i would sincerely love to know, since ive started keto today Thank you

I wanted to lose 40 lbs and I’ve lost 30. it is coming off very slow,,, I started feb 15. I’ve had a few treat days, maybe 4. I’m going on a family reunion vacation on Sunday… creates a little stress.. I also try to fast once a week for 44 hours. I worry about maintenance. Have no clue what that will look like!

Great work on losing 30lbs! Its problaby likely you need to go into maintanence before attempting to reduce the last 10lbs. Keep it off for life, we don't want to see it every again!

@@FatForWeightLoss I guess I should mention that I’m 63! 4’11” and at that 40 lb weight loss, it will be 130 lbs, still overweight if I get there! I’m thinking I should continue until I get to my proper weight?

Thanks for the info! I suggest you follow the recommendations in this video. Diet for no longer than 3-4 months, maintenance, then into another diet phase. The last thing you want is to be back up at +30lbs in a year's time. I hope this helps!

I only do keto to stop me from binge eating and having too many takeaways. Once I hit a good weight I'll probably just eat at my normal maintenance -500 cals. Normal weightloss is 1-2lbs per week

I lost 25 pounds in 3 months on keto. Started eating standard diet brought on by couple of cheat days and gained back about 10 pounds in a couple of weeks. I have 100 some weight to lose and have to remember to be patient.

Are you talking about putting on weight during maintanence? The goal is to maintain your weight, but increase the amount of food you're eating. This is done in a specific way so you don't put on weight (but it makes the next fat loss phase MUCH better for you)

I started this Keto 4 weeks ago I am a 58y Male 188cm 138kg . In the first 2 weeks i lost around 7kg another 2kg in the past 2 weeks BUT i am always hungry, i dont sleep well i feel sick all the time and my stomach always rumble , all those torture to lose 9kg ??

I am on the keto again to lose weight again😐. But my advice is to eat 7-8 servings of protein first thing when you wake up. And then couple of hours later 7-8 servings of protein again. Then about eight hours later have no more than 7-8 servings of protein. In fact at this time you can have 2 servings of protein if you're not hungry. In the morning when you wake up and before noon is the best time to eat most of your protein because you will be active & some reason it makes & keeps you full. If you are still quite hungry at dinner time put an extra serving in the morning and before noon. But I can't have more than four servings in the morning & four servings before noon. I am just too full. The other thing is to drink in between time. Try for a week and see if this helps. Hope this helps.

You're not eating enough fat. That's why you're always hungry and the weight comes off slower. Eat more of it, and make sure to take bile salts to help your body process it better without nausea and digestive issues. Also count your calories and eat maybe 100-200 hundred calories less than recommended for your starting weight. Protein is impprtant as well, but the main focus of keto is fat. Too much protein and your body converts it into sugar, storing it. Too little fat, and it's not even keto anymore.Trust me, it took me a while as well to figure out what I was doing wrong. As soon as I introduced more fats and bile salts simultaneously, the hunger went away, digestive issues disappeared and the extra weight melted off.
