So these are the foods I can eat in the ketogenic diet! I can do this! I'm excited... I have mental illness, schizophrenia. I am going to try this diet to see if the diet lessens or even outs me into a remission from my symptoms and meds of antiphocitic nature... 😮😊😊😊

Based on your numbers .5 to 1% per week, at 240 lbs I would need 50 weeks if I managed to lose 1.8 lbs a week...on Keto. I have lost 60 pounds in the past 13 months. I have been yo-yoing from 235-243 for the past 3 months. I did this by following basically the Carnivore/BBB&E diet. Unfortunately, my spouse of 50 years is convinced that her veggie and salads are "just fine..." but I know it's not, as she is 5-3 and weighs 230 lbs. (FYI, I am 74 and she is 70, and I am 5'8".). She does have a sweet tooth as well, and usually I don't have that problem. I crave ice cream now and ten, and love the rare Snickers Bar, but otherwise I am Ok. I have stopped trying to convince her to try the lower carb/Keto style, to no avail, so I am simply going to focus on myself...and my health. The hardest thing for me is staying away from potatoes, rice, and breads/English muffins. The funniest thing is people would assume you would get tired of steaks, (Ribeyes, NY Strip, even sirloin,) but I don't. They are good every time I have one. Another weakness is flavored coffee...although I use Zero Calorie Sugar and Syrup. I know that should be OK, but it is not. I invariably gain when I drink these coffees. I am going to try and refocus after the holidays, but not go nuts in the meantime. I am thinking of a cheat day twice a month and have carbs on those days...Jersey Mike's sub, Pizza, Jambalaya, Baked Potato smothered in beef tips, mushrooms and mushroom gravy...etc. My goal is 150 lbs...what I weighted in 1970, when I came home from Viet Nam. I was 5'9" back then...but I guess I have shrunk an inch over the past 54 years. Good Luck on your health journey and Merry Christmas!

Almond flour each day with all the huge Oxalates in Almonds sent me to the ER for Kidney Stones. Coconut flour is safe with no Oxalates and taste just as good if not better. Don't make yourself sick.

Thank you for doing a video on healthy keto. Ive seen so many videos where people smother cheese, sour cream on things. Also thank you for doing stove top meals. Many people don’t have access to a oven /air fryer I definitely will be subscribing. Maybe put healthy Keto olin title of your videos.

@fatforweighloss Hello there. Thank you so much for the Crack Slaw Recipe or "Egg roll in a Bowl". I lost my taste about 4 years ago and so I'm only using that one recipe to eat every single day since it doesn't matter. I made it and added Bean Sprouts (Mung Beans). Once its warmed up, I cut fresh Cilantro and 1/2 Avocado to put on top. 3 years ago I was 155. I became unrecognizable. I went from a high functioning woman to isolation, and complete dysfunction. 5 of my immediate family members died, I lost my home, my car, my jobs, volunteer position, and the more stressed, the more sick I became. I was diagnosed with Gerd, then began vomiting on a constant basis which ate at my teeth..I was then diagnosed with Gastrointestinal issues, then a Brain tumor. I started making small changes out of desperation. I just got off several medications including antidepressants.As I see others have. I am also on Amino Acid therapy. Waiting to afford Ketamine treatment, and for a way for my front teeth to be fixed so I can feel normal again and go back to work. Part of that is eating..and eating healthy. That said, I have a question. I am really really hoping you can help me. I've done ALL I can on my own before coming to ask for help. At the start, I used a Keto Calculator to see exactly how many Macros I need to fit in my calories per day..But every single one was different. I spent hours, and days obssesivly trying to learn how to portion your recipe into my meals to fit my macros/Calories and have struggled immensely as I don't know what that looks like. I went from 228, down to 211 cutting sugar, and cigarettes..I had constant sugar cravings, and was smoking 3 packs a day. When I was at 211 is when I began Keto (End of July). The Macro Calculator average says I needed 1537 Calories @ 63% Fats, 5% Carbs, and 32% Protein to lose weight and get into Ketosis. Because I couldn't figure out those portions I just winged it. Since then I am down to 189.90. But I would feel better If I learned to do the exact ones so I can properly gain the benefits by doing it in a way that suits my body. But how do I measure that to put into my containers? I don't understand how to transfer those numbers into correct portions. I feel really ridiculous asking this outloud but Id rather ask a ridiculous question than to put my well being further at risk during a time I must do ANYTHING to get better. I've never been good at math. It is my absolute weak spot. If you or anyone else here can help me, to say I'd be grateful is an understatement.I would do anything. Again..I'm using the Crack Slaw Recipe @ 2 meals per day. I'm just trying to find out how much food goes into each container for two meals per day using that recipe. Thank you so much.

Recipe: 1egg 1/4 cup almond flour or 1tbsp coconut flour 1tbsp coconut oil 1/4tsp Bp
@MS1954-MO2 ай бұрын
Wait--how much coconut flour? The video says 1 tbs coconut flour if you don't use the almond flour, then 1 tbs coconut flour on top of that. That's a LOT of coconut flour for only 1 egg, but I would rather ask people who have actually made the recipe for advice than go stumbling out on my own.

@@haneenhano3814 That all-important "or" in there; now the recipe makes sense. I will be using melted butter, seeing as I don't tolerate coconut oil very well, and coconut flour.

I can stick to this. I started keto today, along with fasting (starting with 13 hour fasts, up an hour each week if I feel comfortable and can commit to the extra hour increase), the hardest part is that I’m disabled (hip disease) and my apartment has a shared kitchen that isn’t very accessible for me. Thank you for no-cook meals. This should help, and was my biggest hurdle as I’ve never been a cook.

Yes. True. Technically you can eat it after that one step. The whole point is many people complain about the smell and so the extra quick heat up is to help with that

I only do keto to stop me from binge eating and having too many takeaways. Once I hit a good weight I'll probably just eat at my normal maintenance -500 cals. Normal weightloss is 1-2lbs per week
