Wonderful video! I came across your similar video in January 2023 and not just watched but really studied it (made notes, went back and checked things etc) when I was thinking about starting a YT channel, a few months before I took the plunge. I did a 10 week run in 2023 to test the waters stopping a bit short of monetisation but committed to it in 2024 and was monetised within 2 weeks of returning. In 2024 I had 2.2m views. 250k watch hours, 14.5k subscribers and made over £7000 - obviously a far lower RPM niche but I knew that going in and so could plan for that. Huge thanks for your transparency and your great videos (your 'how I edit' videos and other BTS KZbin stuff I watched a bunch). Yours weren't the only videos I watched when thinking about starting a channel but yours were by far the best. I'm sure I won't be the only creator in this boat. Best of luck this year and a massive, massive thank you!

I found you in the summer of 2023 through one of you KZbin guide videos. Loved it. And I loved that you weren’t a KZbin guru! (Like of course they make tons of money doing KZbin it’s their job to teach it to people!) so I really appreciate that you are a real person sharing your experience. I want to say don’t focus too much on the views if you really love something. Like your intention video and trying nyc series. (I Love Gary 🤗). I think as a creator you need to keep those little bits that you love because that is what makes you unique and interesting. It may not pop off but they are important in a different way. I just want to add commentary about the end of year corporate budgets. What’s more likely than ‘leftover’ budget is that a large chunk was intentionally set aside for the holiday season. every cfo is trying to cut costs at the end of the year so that end of year numbers look even better. also, I think I started following you in june! the one year challenge video was what brought me in - after I had binged all of chelsea’s videos. 😂 i’m closer to her age but love your energy and outlook. olive with her lil paws folded on you was TOO CUTE.

What I think is strange is that people subscribe to your channel and then don't watch all vlog/videos, all the way through. Coz i found the channel via the vlogs but i tune into all the content and its definitely refreshing hearing an honest POV on this topic each time especially coming from your view coz those channels that strictly discuss how to make money on KZbin tend to come at it from a POV of recycling info since thats how those channels make money rather than a creator who is in a different niche basically discussing the same topic but with actual empirical evidence and data from their own content as opposed to some wishy washy "do this self help" type angle coz for those channels their audiences are very different from a regular KZbin watcher just tryna watch some laid back content etc. Fantastic watch as always 👊🏿🙏🏿

brand deals and sponsorships are essentially the same thing, people use the term interchangeably. i typically don't share my specific income details for this revenue for a few personal reasons and some information is confidential (per the brands contracts), but maybe one day i will do a broad overview.

If you didn’t know, for some reason, KZbin does something to have subscribers, automatically un-subscribed So that could be. I now make sure my Subscriber is still Subscribed, I noticed that with about 5 of mine and put on the comment the same thing, one said that they noticed a dive in her subscribers. FYI .
