Hey Andy! I don't know what my life would be like without music. I love listening to all kinds of music. I like to play the drums myself. I'm not particularly great at it but i still enjoy it. I was never in a band but have played with other musicians. And i played at a small festival once with a jam band. That was fun. But mostly it's just been a hobby. Music expecially with lyrics, I love to listen and sing along. When I was younger I was a singer in the primary school choir and in secondary school I really enjoyed music lessons. Music is a good coping mechanism. I probably won't be in the music industry and just keep it a happy.

Great video, Andy! 😁 Music is a blessing for musicians but I think it depends on what you think is the easiest way to listen or to play. I played the piano at secondary school but I gave up because my teacher wasn’t giving me much encouragement and I never did any examinations. I stuck with singing and I ended u doing musical theatre examinations and got a teaching diploma from the London College of music at 19. I never got to teach musical theatre though. However, I ended up singing in a band, singing solos at my drama school, and now organising the Social Wave Choir. It is incredible how music can play an important role in a person’s life especially within the autistic community. And I think it's fair to say that without music, life would be boring or create barriers in a person’s life 🙂

I am in a singing group. We sing at Celtic fairs and Renaissance festivals. I have done this for more than ten years. When I am not doing well I have to take breaks because our leader is not very understanding of mental health issues or other disabilities. But it is a lot of fun when I can manage it. My mom pressured me to play an instrument but I hated band. I really enjoy singing more. Visual art really helps me express my feelings even more than music (for me).

I might as well say that sometimes music can't be good for autistic people. The reason is that music can be loud, too fast and creepy for an autistic person. It depends on what type of autism does a person have... Calm music can be helpful for a person with autism. You're doing a great job! Have a nice day!

Sometimes if you are creating the loud noise it is not nearly as bad as when someone else creates it. I don't like loud music so I mostly only listen to it at my house and not live. I am in a singing group but we don't use many instruments.

Music is such a good coping skill for me. I’ve played the piano for a number of years. I also love to mess around with other instruments, especially percussion instruments. I almost gave up doing music, because I thought I’d never be good enough for people to hear me. And because a lot of people that can do music are way better than me. And I’m not jealous of them, I think they’re awesome because they’re 100 times better than me. I even enjoy listening to music.

Great video! I too play the guitar and appreciate all the points you made. I've loved sound and music ever since I was really young and one aspect I enjoy is the repetitive nature of it. Whether I'm listening to a song/ melody or playing a riff for the 1000th time, it centers me in a way that's hard to explain to others unless they've been there.
