My pittie mix Ruby Darling is like that. She only gets excited when we're on the actual walk. Other than that, she'd rather walk around the house and be nosy. In the kitchen making food? She'll walk in see how you're doing, even put her paws on the counter and just watch you cook. Won't beg, just watches. On the sofa watching TV or on your phone? She'll look at your phone, the tv, or you all curious, as if asking "whatcha watchin'?" And "what's on your phone?" In a conversation? She sit down and listen in, perking up a bit when she is mentioned. In the shower? She's on the bed, waiting. Sleeping, or just laying around? She'll join in, snoozing and vibing, chewing on her toys. When gets all her crazy put at the park, but she's chill at home. Unless you bring out treats, ice cubes for some reason, a toys that squeak. She she starts up a bit. I love my girl. Oh God, I rambled about her again. Sorry, she's my first dog after my childhood pet died, and I'm the only person she would sleep with as a pup, so she's special to me.

Thanks so much for your time and sharing Oliver with us. I just love him. I am a previous beagle mom myself. I got my first beagle, Alex when I was a senior in high school, sadly he was hit by a car & passed away from the injury he sustained. He was 5 years old. I got my 2nd beagle, Albert in early September 2015, he was only 9 weeks old when we brought him home. He was truly the smartest dog I have ever had, he had a great personality and he loved me unconditionally. He had given me a reason to get out of bed every single day since January 16, 2020 when I lost my son Andy, he was living with us and he passed away very unexpected at home. Albert was sleeping with him that day as he had been since we brought him home 4.5 years earlier. He was basically Andy's son, so to speak but he had become my best buddy after Andy died. Albert had to stay in a crate when he was home alone. I had to work & my youngest son Adam wasn't home that day, January 31, 2021. Albert was totally fine when I left for work that morning, but he was not when I got home that afternoon. He had peed in his crate, saturated his blanket & had a horrible smell of decay, as if he was already gone. He had trouble just walking when I got him out of his crate, but I thought it was due to him standing up against the door of his crate since his blanket was soaking wet with his urine. I cleaned up the crate and him, I let him outside to potty, but he didn't potty, rather trying to dig out of the back yard. He then laid down by the fence and he wouldn't get up. I had to carry him in the house. He did it several times over the next several hours until Saturday morning when I decided to not let him outside anymore, as I knew he was dying. He was very restless, trying to find a place to lay down so he could be alone. I made a pallet for him in the hallway that leads to my garage. He finally laid down, unable to drink or anything, I was giving him water with a spoon and ice that he loved. By 11:30p that night his breathing was very labored, I had been crying hysterically for hours knowing he was not going to make it. I held him in my arms, crying like crazy, I told him how very much I loved him, and I was so grateful for his support and love over the past year especially after the loss of my son Andy. I kissed his snout, laid him down and walked into the living room, about 12 feet from where he was. My son Alex, yes same name as my first beagle, anyway he walked in the hallway where Albert was laying down, I just heard a horrible scream from Alex, crying hysterically saying that he was sure Albert was sleeping but he couldn't wake him. I told him he was gone. It was the worst thing ever since my son died a year earlier 💔. My heart is beyond shattered 💔!. I haven't been able to watch your vlogs for a few weeks since he passed away, but I just watched this one and I cried thinking about Albert. I have loved your vlogs about Oliver for a long while. I appreciate you taking the time to share him with us. I appreciate your kindness very much! Albert's mom, forever missed & forever loved with my broken heart 💔! 😪
