also worth mentioning that nahida does A LOT of DMG, i am not joking, if you try to build a nahida focused on DMG on a quicken or quickbloom team, every tick of her skill can easily do between 50-70K depending on how well she's built, if someone was thinking "oh i can't pull for nahida because i need a driver for her", thats BS, nahida can ALSO be the driver, matter of fact i beated this abyss with nahida, xingqiu, beidou and kuki, nahida being the one that stays on field and attacks, if she procs spread with her skill she does arround 60K, and she can also proc spread with her basic attacks so thats a lot of extra DMG too, and her downtime? nahida doesn't have downtime, so even if you swap out to recast all your skills she will still be doing passive DMG off field while buffing the other teammates with her ult im sorry about the yapping, i meant this character is a busted support and a damn solid DPS too, you can slap her in a triple 4 star team and she will clear even in this annoying abyss with geo shields (thats why beidou is there)

she's an archon and if you havent noticed, they always make the archons "overpowered" or very meta. u can say that doesn't apply to venti but its only bc he was released in the very beginning and only lost value after inazuma bc not all enemies in the later regions can be swooped up by his burst. not to mention xiangling is the only proper pyro applicator as of now so even if mavuika isn't overpowered she'll still be meta due to a need for 2nd pyro applicator that isnt dehya.

Her bloom teams just suffer from having a lower damage ceiling, since at some point your only improvements will come from constellations like her or Nilou's c2. She still can get better if we get any new dps that needs dendro and EM, but that's unlikely in Natlan. The important thing is that her teams are just as good as before, and can let you clear with ease and lower investment.

Honestly, the only real downside Nahida has is that her mark needs to be reapplied when new enemy waves spawn in, forcing you to have to swap back to her to apply dendro again. Even then, this only applies for something like spiral abyss and only affects characters with very high on-field time like Cyno lmao. So yeah, still a pretty crazy character.

That is only a "problem" when enemies die in less than 6 seconds. I assure you, with how overinflated the abyss has become with HP (looking at the horse boss with 7million hp + 80%res), you're not going to kill anything in less than 6 seconds anytime soon.

I'm more referring to stuff like floor 11's monolith defense or situations where there are a lot of trash mobs that all need to be defeated and constantly spawn (Like Rifthounds, or the smaller Ruin machines). Admittedly tho, this current abyss cycle doesn't really help my point since there's a lot of elites like Ruin Drakes, Golems, and C/Beasts lmao but yeah.

My only struggle with Nahida is... Multi wave content. You either swap from your dps burst phase to reapply her E, or continue without dendro. And if her E is on CD, you have to basic attack for 1 enemy, or charge attack for a very small aoe. Other than that, she's disgustingly strong and one of the easiest characters to build.

I am ECSTATIC that Nahida is coming back, my main team is Cyno Dendro MC Kuki and Xingqiu, and man does DMC's lamp and skill feel Bad. It got to the point where I shifted over to Kinich Thoma Bennett Kazuha because Cyno can't deal with groups of non-boss enemies without wasting several Bursts from the rest of the team.

I gave Nahida her third crown simply for being the best Dendro and one of my favorites along Emilie, unlike many who exaggerate about Furina I still believe she’s the biggest game changer cause you could hardly replace her unless you counted Sucrose for just EM buff although right now Xil is better investment for her C2.

So true, upon the release of Sucrose I was the only of my friends using her full elemental mastery build, with Sacrif. fragments. For me uderstanding the elemental reaction was my first priority since the begining. Was funny to go on Cop-op and see people getting surprise with her damage. They just failed to understand elemental reaction..

In my opinion DMC was pretty reliable with some investment into energy recharge, the issue was that he didn't really work with a lot of different kinds of Dendro teams, he was only really good for teams that used the bloom reaction. Another issue was the limitations of his burst, unlike Nahida, the radius wasn't that big and if an enemy hit it with pyro you're basically down an entire rotation. Nahida fills a lot of similar roles with better numbers and application while removing a lot of the clunkier aspects DMC deals with, along with not being burst reliant. On top of that Nahida is the only really reliable option for quicken/aggravate outside of Alhaitham.

Speaking of Genshin's meta, dendro reactions tend to have high floors yet limited ceilings when it comes to damage output because of their reliance on EM instead of raw ATK scaling and crit stats. That said, when powerful main DPS characters such as Neuvillette were released, I doubted if the Nahida hyperbloom team could still compete with them since Neuvillette can provide raw, consistent damage with high ATK scaling.

nahida teams are meta but not top meta, so I wouldn't use the word Dominate. i agree with everything Mr Leech says , but current nahida teams are a tad behind TOP meta teams which greatly favour units with goood multipliers. this is bcuz the new buffer units are oppressively strong. and they are stackable, they also scale hard your investments. so even with moderate investment, they quickly outscale the admittedly impressive ceilings of transformative dendro reactions.

Ehh I'd argue Alhaitham Quickbloom is in the meta and it's a team with Nahida - although as you mention, it's the only meta dendro team. Not exactly sure where Nilou Bloom ends up at, but considering how bad abysses for her have been, she's probably not even in the competition. Now, that being said: things might change once Mavuika comes out since Kinich is still missing a good pyro teammate to activate his A4 and he's already uncomfortably close to Alhaitham Quickbloom numbers. That's a top tier Dendro team without Nahida and it's still missing that last teammate that can push it into the meta realm. ... I guess we'll have to wait and see if a Burning MV-reliant team ends up toppling over the Quickbloom MV/Reaction mish mash meta that Hoyo tried to push for at first

Her teams ARE lower than newer teams. It's not about single big numbers, it's about team damage per rotation, or damage per second, however you wanna look at it, she has fallen off. Dendro teams were meant for new players and off meta players to be able to easily clear abyss with not much of an investment, but her teams are much weaker than new powerhouses like arle, neuvillette or mualani.

I think it's closer to Transformative/Additive Elemental Reactions falling off in comparison to Raw Talent Damage & Amplifying Reaction teams. Like yeah, Hyperbloom's high floor is nice, but the ceiling is more important to the meta and that ceiling is LOW. There hasn't been a Hyperbloom buffer either, so eventually the teams will start suffering on their pure overreliance on a reaction that is "just balanced" in comparison to the mind-boggling 1000%+ MV on characters like Navia or Lyney

Nahida isn't perfect in all dendro teams though, Kinich, Emilie and Kaveh for example. Because first and second scale off atk and third doesn't need second dendro teammate because she could steal Kaveh's bloom reaction. In other cases, she's perfect.

For Emilie, I don't think the scaling is the issue. It's team slots. With Emilie and a pyro, half the team is set. If that pyro is your sustain or on-field DPS, then another slot goes for whatever the pyro isn't. You're down 3 slots that are key to the team, and now you have the 4th slot left, which is the slot with the most competition for it. High opportunity cost, basically. And if the pyro isn't your sustain/dps, you're looking at all four slots filled. Meanwhile, Nahida really wants an electro on the team, for reduced ICD on her elemental skill procs and potentially -def C2 reasons, which again means the opportunity cost calculation is likely not in her favor.

The one thing I’d add is that Nahida does struggle a bit in multi-wave content. This is exacerbated when using her with an on-field dps that contributes a significant portion of the team’s damage since they typically want uninterrupted field time (like Alhaitham, Cyno, aggravate Clorinde, Tighnari, and Nilou teams with a non-Nahida dedicated driver such as Kokomi, Baizhu, or Kaveh). However, she is still currently the best option for all the teams she is used on. I don’t think they will really want to replace her with a better dendro applicator and buffer.

I was going to skip Emilie for that reason, that my Nahida already does enough. I wound up not doing so, though, because I realized that I wanted Emilie not to replace Nahida, but Fischl, for my team. And that worked gloriously. Team performed so much better by benching Fischl. Overall, I see Emilie as competing more with Xiangling than Nahida... she's there for damage and (indirect) pyro app, while Nahida is there for dendro app with some added perks.

If you don’t have Nahida yet, I’d highly recommend going for her. Especially since, as Leech mentioned, the core Hyperbloom team of Nahida, XQ, and Kuki are all on banner. Those three characters alone will significantly elevate the damage floor of your account. If you already have Nahida, then you can continue saving for Neuvillette.

My biggest issue with this current belief that Nahida fell off is they act like she got the Diluc treatment (pre Plunge obviously) the dps check is largely the same she just hasn't been given any new friends or buffs. My quick-bloom variant has been a staple in my abyss clears even in multi waves or single target she preforms amazingly in both. I'd like a 5* hyper-bloom character it'd be a nice to get a new one Kuki can't be given the Xiangling treatment mine needs a break she's been working hard for over a year now

not quite true, the meta has surpassed nahida's current teams significantly. neuvilette using kqm standards calcs around 30% higher dmg than dendro quickbloom teams cuz of the new buffer units. the new buffer units are so strong the current meta favours carries w/ high multipliers. but that doesn't mean nahida is bad, she just hasn't been updated

The thing is a lot of characters can dominate the Genshin meta since it ain't that difficult to complete The Abyss. I've played Genshin since its inception and not once have used Nahida. Testament to how easy Genshin is and how Nahida doesn't really dominate the meta as you said.

As someone without Nahida... The Nahidaless dendro acc diff is crazy. Hyperbloom on my acc is one of my worst/slowest team options. Fischl/Tighnari Quicken is the only dendro team I've had access to and it's somewhat on-par with my usual team options (because Fischl is busted, also I happened to get Hunter's Path at 30 pity on its chronicle banner rerun so that's worth mentioning). Now I have Kinich, who doesn't really need Nahida! ... Except he's C0R0 so he's still a lot more underwhelming than just using anyone else, but at least he works with my other supports and he has a highly technical playstyle that I think is quite fun...! It's copium. Dendro is still cope on my account because I don't have Nahida. I'd rather just play Xiangling bro 😭

I feel like Nahida has REALLY fallen off actually LOL. There has been a severe lack Dendro-synergistic units released throughout the entirety of Fontaine, and it isn't looking like we're getting any in Natlan either. Furina is fine in Dendro teams but her Hydro application is worse than Yelan/Xingqiu and her DMG% buff doesn't affect Bloom-based reactions. We got Clorinde in 4.7 but she has major issues being used with Nahida in multi-wave content, and Clorinde is equally as good in non-Dendro teams (Overloaded and Electro-Charged, with both teams getting buffs in 5.2 with the Elemental Reaction buffs). Kinich's best team is Burning which Nahida doesn't benefit (and regardless we have Emilie for those teams), and you don't want to use Nahida in his Burgeon teams since there's nowhere to slot her and Kinich already applies Dendro. Like obviously Nahida hasn't fallen off kit-wise or power-wise, she's still an SSS tier character in her use cases, but there hasn't been a meta team for her since midway through Sumeru.

For anyone who has been told Nahida has "fallen off", you've been lied to. She is as good as ever. She is dendro, the character. I still consider her in the top 3 "must haves". If you want to do dendro teams at all, you're going to love Nahida. Two of my main Abyss teams are Nilou Bloom (has Nahida) and Alhaitham Quick Bloom (has Nahida).

She hasn't fallen off. she's been left behind. shes good because she enables teams with higher starting floor in terms of dmg, the fact that so many teams that start with similar floor lvl dmg but way higher ceiling. It doesn't mean nahida teams are bad. Just the competition is better. Her peak possible dmg was never the reason she was good. If thats what we based it off shed never be meta even on release. Reminder that you can still enjoy ur fav characters without them being meta.

Nahida isn't like Venti where content is expressly designed so he cannot do what he does best (vortex of terror) to trivialize the content (i.e., venti has fallen off) But as hotorinu2471 put it as well, there are just lots of other ways to do more damage like a Neuvillette/Furina, or Chevreuse overload teams, or Alrlecchino teams, etc.... so "left behind" might be the right phrasing.

A lot of bloom related teams get a decent portion of their damage from non-bloom stuff, so it isn't quite that much. Still a very strong con, though. But on the plus side, you get C1 on the way to C2, and that's a con I think people tend to underrate a bit. Her ability to tag and apply damage to enemies over a wide area is quite handy, since dendro teams tend to lack groupers. That reduced ICD for her elemental skill procs is nice, especially when coupled with the increased DMG. And you get the longer burst duration as well, so lower ER needs, easier to fit into rotations.
