How Neurotypical vs Neurodivergent people like songs.

ND and NT both listen to songs on repeat. The main difference often lies in the reasons and frequency for repeating songs. For neurodivergent individuals, especially those with ADHD or autism, listening to a song on repeat can be a way to self-regulate emotions, manage sensory input, or improve focus and concentration. It can also provide a predictable and comforting experience in a world that might feel overwhelming.
Neurotypical individuals might repeat songs for enjoyment, nostalgia, or because the song is particularly catchy. While they also use music to enhance mood or concentration, they might not rely on repetition to the same extent for self-regulation or coping mechanisms as neurodivergent individuals do.
In essence, both groups repeat songs, but the underlying motivations and the extent to which they do it might differ.
