Chubb and many backs never get showcased for their worst games where they have to will their yards to get stats . I remember Demarco Murray came in against Patriots like 6 years ago and had 12-14 carries for 40 yards . He battled for his yards but he broke tackles and had crazy vision when Patriots just decimated the line. He was finding holes that weren't being created by his line but just by failure of his line but his vision had perceived those holes as well . Which was nuts . I knew he was gonna be special. Sucks he couldn't stay on the field. He reminded me of Curtis Martin . Very unique back .
@markboston93034 жыл бұрын
Chubb reminds me of Kevin Faulk. Maybe he didn't put up stats and his fumbles prevented him starting , but he was a crazy amazing back when out there . Chubb is like this but can play 60% plus of snaps Browns should've won 6 games just off run game alone but QB play and converting was just horrible . Mayfield really needs to be just ordinary this season and they can get 9 10 games . Mayfield need to take advantage of space his run game gives him. Still unsure how that offense had trouble last year

After watching him at UGA for 4 years, I knew he was going to be elite. He broke Herschel's consecutive games with 100+ yds record in his sophomore year, and was second to Walker in a lot of other school records, all while splitting touches with Sony Michel. He's a true stud, and always has been. I was shocked he went as late as he did.

Great breakdown. The backs listed in the top of the analysis, in my view display elite skills of running the football in this league, the type that are shown consistently over a career, and by the best backs in history. Things like vision, anticipation, and instinct or “feel”. They also demonstrate torso posture that helps them break tackles, protect the football, and limit the chance of taking big hits (shoulders and chest down posturing) while running the football. They take what the defense gives, but also have burst and speed to house it. Also, setting up blocks, understanding run concepts, defenses, are consistent. We all like to see big time jukes, spin moves, hurdling, and outright bulldozing defenders, but it opens the chance of getting hurt, and increases the risk of losing the ball. RBs really have to be taught schematics, vision, footwork and track when running IZ,OZ, Gap and Power.

I really thought The Browns reached for Chubb because of his years after his injury at Georgia. He must finally be back to full health because If I remember correctly it looked like he couldn't get no separation when I watched him at Georgia compared to Sony Michel. Michel just looked in a different league compared to Chubb towards the end of their college careers. Nice to see Chubb doing well and proving me wrong.
@beaujac3114 жыл бұрын
Tsar Bomba:. You are right he is at full health. A lot of people missed on Chubb because he doesn't blow his own horn. UGA fans knew he was great after watching him before he was injured. I don't think any people outside of UGA payed any attention to Chubb even before he was injured. I say that because I would hear things like Chubb was not a homerun hitter or Chubb rumbling down the field. I knew then that these people had no idea of the speed of Chubb. And you are right Sony did looked a lot more fluid than Chubb those last two seasons at UGA. He didn't get that fluidity back until he got to Cleveland. The Chubb you are seeing now is what he looked like before he was injured. They say that it usually takes a couple of years for guys to return to form after coming back from major knee surgery.
