Crick makes an excellent point when he stated that Farage gained because the mainstream parties felt unable to have a conversation about immigration. Curiously, they are still dogged by this problem. Having a view on immigration and being a "racist" are not necessarily the same thing. Until that point is grasped Labour will always struggle, the Liberal Democrats will have no chance and the Conservative Party will not be taken seriously by huge numbers of the British people.

All British history is a history of immigration. Ironically, Brexit has not stopped immigration, because immigration is inherently British.

Detest Farage as I do, I have to hand to him that his absolute belief in his cause and his dogged determination to follow it through are at least admirable. As a pro European I would support a similar figure if one emerged. I for one will never give up the fight to rejoin the EU.

absolute belief in his cause.., him of a EU passport by marriage.? He got hijacked by far more powerful forces who saw an opportunity to sever the legal ties with an EU that cares about money laundering.

Farage saw to it that you were robbed of your European citizenship while he retained his. His 'dogged determination' is not a virtue. In his case it's a personality disorder
