Jose Borgia You wouldn't? Did you even watch the video? Do you understand the gravity of the situation? The attacker caused all types of pain and suffering for the victim and his family, and for barely any reason at all. It could have been a murder. Let me ask you, would you rather do time for less than 7 years, or would you rather have a large chance of dying, and if you survive you get to go into a coma, then wake up with excruciating pain for days, then have a gigantic open wound for almost two years and have a lid on your stomach to keep your guts from falling out...?
@TakenByThePlague6 жыл бұрын
X X Yes that's exactly what it does.. Discourages.... Does it prevent it 100%? Clearly not, but I can guarantee you that people have thought twice about committing a crime after considering the consequences, it happens every day. And besides, not thinking, or saying "i won't get caught" isn't an excuse to not be punished harshly that's just asinine.

I knew someone would say this. I know it is, I live here, and to be honest, nothing is free since we pay national insurance for our health care, and even when we don't, the money to pay for health care comes from somewhere. I completely know how that lady feels. A few months ago I saved my best friend's dad from a gun shot wound to the leg, and she was panicking, her brother was panicking, their mom and older sister were at work, I was just trying to stay the night. Apparently after they got him to the hospital she talked to the nurse and she said I saved his life. Though I don't really believe it, but it's scary, knowing that if you weren't there or didn't know what to do then a person would have died. I have no clue how I saved him. I did everything I thought I was supposed to do, tie something above the wound to slow the bleeding, rinsed it out with water (though I have no clue is I was actually supposed to do that), then tied something else over the entrance and exit wound to slow the bleeding even more. I'm 16, i was terrified, I had another person's blood on me, what do you do with that sort of information at this age. That at such a young age you were most likely the deciding factor between life and death

The 6.5 years for the guy that did the stabbing is a joke. It should be way more. What's worse though is the stat they put up that the number of people cautioned for carrying a knife is at a 8 year high. That seems to indicate a caution isn't a deterrent. It should be a jail sentence unless someone can prove a damn good legitimate reason for having a knife on them. If the deterrent works less people will take the risk. If you know if you get caught carrying one you get an automatic 1 or 2 years inside, rather than a slap on the wrist less people will do it. Less knives on the street = less stabbings.
@michaprzybysz99646 жыл бұрын
YES sentence for carrying knives. That’s logical especially when u live in areas full of “medium dark skin color loving raping mugging and allah” gang members is super safe and coming back from work late. Where you can’t rely on popo it’s 100% better to be fully vulnerable in your opinion right. It’s the same thing with guns. PEOPLE KILL NOT GUNS KNIVES OR DILDOS.
@michaprzybysz99646 жыл бұрын
Funky Monkey1886 and to be fair a penalty for stabbing should be at least 15 years.
@MyXYZVideos6 жыл бұрын
Guns and knives provide people with an easy method of killing. America is proof that weapons dramatically increase the murder rate. You cannot justify carrying a knife or firearm on you by spewing racist garbage. Regardless, implementing gun and knife control wouldn't stop you from carrying either of the two, as long as you can convincingly demonstrate that you aren't a threat to others. It would just make it much harder for criminals, children and other dubious individuals to acquire them, resulting in far less violence.

But a bullet forms additional wound channels so it doesnt make a diffrence. You just hear about it more frequently, because it sounds more spectacular.
@MajorBjork6 жыл бұрын
KZbin User err nope. Pretty sure a headline of someone getting shot in the UK would be bigger than a stabbing. And given Britain’s size, basically every single murder makes the news, doesn’t matter how “spectacular” it is.

Gun wounds are clean, they come out and they get in. Also, the shape of a bullet is round (ofcourse the bullet rotates in the body but it's less then people actually think). A knife is different. A knife slim, but long which makes the chance of hitting vital organs really big. Also, a knife moves once inside the body making it extra dangerous.

6:34 - And there you have it, right there. The main reason WHY so many youngsters don't give a second thought about plunging another knife into someone for no reason. 6.5 years for unprovoked attempted murder. It was simply 'chance', not intention that meant this man didn't die from his wound. Whether he lived or died, either way, the intention and the action are the same. You only stab someone with a long knife for one reason and one reason only. That is to end their life. I'm actually disgusted that our judicial system is like that of a backward country. The culprit should be serving a minimum 20 year sentence without the chance of parole. And our government wonder why there are so many vigilante groups rolling around bringing their own justice where none or too little was served. I'm not saying that far longer sentences would eliminate knife crime, but it would certainly reduce it significantly.

I can relate. I was stabbed back in 2019. Just a fight, I thought I felt the wind get knocked outta me but nothing that bad. Just a dull pain. There was a hills in my shirt, dark blood immediately was pouring from me. I stayed calm and distanced myself from the area I was stabbed in -but I didn’t run, I kept my heart rate low in fear of bleeding out. I could smell the metallic blood literally pouring from my liver. After knocking on doors for help and being told to leave- finally squad came. People were afraid I was bringing trouble to their house. I needed help- while in the hospital the adrenaline wore off- I was in so pain at that point I asked for them to let me die. It was full body deferred pain I felt oddly in the soloplexus where my wound was, excoriating pain in my collar bones, and on each side above my hips. My whole body was locking up in a complete Charlie horse, and my head was pounding- i would scream from time to time to lay out the stress. I was afraid I’d endure all that pain and just die- I was told I had a fifty fifty chance. I was told I literally had to fight to stay awake or I may never wake up. I was given 16 units of blood, in a coma for 3 days after being medivaced. I was read my last rites even. I survived by Gods grave and the bed faced with death was the greatest gift I’ve ever received because my respect for life and the well being of others is on a new level.

Book Snake You have your facts right. However, I don’t see the point in you being a little hostile in your replies, and even dragging the conversation towards the matter. In fact, this all started because of you making a generalization that Mexicans will stab you, and recently that Salvadorans are violent (and you pointed out that Salvadorans are equally as violent as Mexicans which I see as disrespectful to both parties). At no point have I been violent or harsh in my words; I have even made my respect towards you visible. I do ask of you to be a bit more open minded as well, if you may. As a Salvadoran I can tell you that most of my fellow Salvadorans are some of the happiest people trying to get on with their lives the best they can through this obscure time in our history. Please do not attack a whole nationality based on your own opinion, the things you read on the internet/newspaper or see on TV. You are free to do so, but I ask of you again to be a bit more open minded of cultures and dive a bit more into people’s cultures and maybe even visit those places (safely of course) to really understand what it really is like.
