Great video and I've enjoyed Catarina's questions and thoughts because they would be my questions too; and you can see she is really learning here! :) Good sub's choice, it's a simple cabbage but full of potential for a dramatic look. Nice effort on the 'throwing everything in' and 'sorting them out nicely on table to go with cabbage'!

You are an experienced photographer, no doubt. But I still have a question: does it really make a difference when you have a honeycomb and put a diffusor in between? One makes the light more direct. Just to diffuse it again?
@botvidsson3 жыл бұрын
You are writing "diffuse it AGAIN", the honey comb doesn't diffuse the light. Reflector with grid vs diffused light are to very different things. Not sure I understand the question, please tell me more.
@adrianochsner91823 жыл бұрын
@@botvidsson Sure, I‘m aware the honeycomb makes the light more direct. But the difusor spreads it. so the use of the honeycomb doesn’t help a lot, does it? I thought. Other than that I also enjoy drinking lots of coffee suring shoots.
@botvidsson3 жыл бұрын
The only reason I added the diffusion was to get a softer light. The diffusion might spread the light a tiny bit but that is okay. If I did not put a grid on the light it would spread a lot more... I still don't understand what you mean? Coffee is great 😁
@adrianochsner91823 жыл бұрын
@@botvidsson thank you. I will have to try that in my own studio. just the first thought was that the diffusor spreads the light so much that the honeycombs purpose of keeping the light in a straight direction is all gone. Does ist really make a difference if you add a honeycomb or not when you diffuse it a bit further down? That was I wasn't sure. But perhaps it also matters what kind of diffusors you have? You are way better equipped than I am, I guess. And way more experienced. In photography. Not in drinking coffee - I can keep up there.
@botvidsson3 жыл бұрын
I don't remember if I used a 5 degree grid or not but that one vs just the reflector makes a huge difference. I really like this moody look and that's why I wanted to spot te light as much as possible. I could have put the diffusion straight on the grid so I got rid of the harsh specular highlights but then I think the spot would be too small.
