Is snatching and pickpocketring are always a common activity in Italy unlike other western states ?
@TravelAddictsLife16 сағат бұрын
They are not as common as people believe they are, actually they are the same as any other busy tourist spot in the world

Rick and Andreas,I back watching your channel, as I’m planning another trip to Italy in August. You guys are the reason why our family holidays are so amazing. Your videos allowed me to create an itinerary for our trip to Florence and Rome, including excursions and pre booked train tickets to perfection. Thank you. I’m looking for another amazing 5 day visit with my wife and two kids aged 17. Do you have any recommendation’s? We love the Italian culture and traditions, and would love to experience the most authentic side of Italian lifestyle. I am desperate to try real Amalfi lemons.

Hello there thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 one area that is wonderful to experience the true Italia lifestyle is Emilia Romagna, it is not super touristy yet and it can offer a true picture of what living in Italy is. Also in Emilia Romagna you can visit the Ferrari Museum or the Lamborghini museum. There is also a wonderful amusement park called Mirabilandia that would be perfect for teens. Also you can visit some incredible cities such as Bologna, Modena, Parma and Ferrara that are full of gems and history.

Unfortunately we can’t be you guide, but we are sure you will enjoy your trip immensely. Keep us posted

Great tips. Also, the ground and steps in Venice are very dirty and sitting on it is pretty gross. The college students sit on some of the bridges, especially the large one going into Campo Santa Margarita, but that's often pretty late at night.

I wish you would have mentioned the trains etc- fines for not buying the correct train or ferry ticket, or not validating. This is a real trip up for many visitors.

We will do an entire video about that. Thank you for the feedback

I've read that recently the italian police are asking to check your passport on public transportation. Is that true?
@TravelAddictsLife8 ай бұрын
They do at the train station
@lizvarenne7 ай бұрын
From what I know, it is a law that non EU residents need to have their passports with them at all times. You should be ready to produce your documents any time, any where.
@yeshetsogyalling4 ай бұрын
@@lizvarenne anybody in Italy has to carry a valid ID with picture on it, not just tourists. We learn this when you are born basically, so it is no big deal for us.

Do children still operate in Rome as pickpockets? What is the arrest age now?
@TravelAddictsLife8 ай бұрын
Those were gypsy children. We haven't seen any gypsy children in many years

Thank you for these helpful hints. Why don’t the police arrest the people selling the fake goods instead of the people buying? Seems like a lot easier to spot a table full of fake purses than 1 person who bought one.
@TravelAddictsLife8 ай бұрын
Usually they run away as soon as they spot the police.
@matemayer48508 ай бұрын
@@TravelAddictsLife Right... so it's just easier to arrest an innocent tourist who doesn't run away...
@TravelAddictsLife8 ай бұрын
@matemayer4850 well it is illegal selling and buying counterfeit goods. Usually no tourists get arrested most of the time they just confiscate the merchandise.
@matemayer48508 ай бұрын
That wouldn’t be too fair to arrest the tourist. Confiscating the fake items is understandable.

Because here in italy it is considered "racist" to arrest illegal immigrants. Thank you left wingers. 😂
