Hey gusy some tips for stamping: 1. New plates usually don't work for the first time, you need to clean them a lot i reccomend aceton and cotton pads 2. The first few stamping usually don't work don't give upp 3. Don't (!!!) use aceton or nailpolish remover to clean the stamper instead of these use (cello) tape it works much better 4. I reccomend to use clean stemper specially if you are a beginer 5. You can use regular nailpolish to stamp, not all kind but lots of normal polish work as well as stamping polish 6. Use plastic screper iron will ruin your plate 7. You need to be quick you have 5-10 sec to scrap and stamp the polish Good luck and have fun 😘 P.s sorry if i made any mistake englis is not my first language 😅

for anyone wondering, you're supposed to stamp immediately after scraping, don't push so hard on the stamper, very light pressure is the best, and use a sticky base on the nail to make sure the designs transfer. That last bit isn't always necessary, but a lot of the time it helps.

Precisely! 80% of the people I know who aren’t able to stamp, all have the same issue. They aren’t fast enough, or they’re pressing too hard/rolling the stamper on the plate for too long. The other 10% are using the wrong products ☺️ Regular polish CAN work for stamping but it depends on the individual polish formula. If it’s too thin, or just isn’t pigmented enough, it won’t work. Stamping polish works best ☺️ Another issue (for the person posting before me) could be your scraper! ☺️ They come in firm and flexible, and certain designs work best with one or the other. If you’re unable to pick it up without missing bits, or it’s wobbly, try a different scraper and adjust your angle ☺️ For straight lines, try using a stamper without much of a “dome” shape. The bigger the dome, the more warped the lines are. I find monocle stampers best for straight lines because they tend to have a flatter surface ☺️ other types of stamper are just personal preference (whether you’re a “roller” or a “straight up and down” person).

@@chiaram.2156 see above! 🥰 When I was starting out with stamping, I found it very hard to find information on it. There’s SO many tips and tricks videos/articles but they were all the same things: the actual technique. That’s great info, but I found it really difficult to understand why so many different shapes and sizes of stamper existed. The companies selling them don’t really tell you. I specifically emailed Maniology and they told me it was ALL personal preference 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ As I say above, there ARE differences with stampers so don’t get too mad at yourself if it doesn’t work out and you can’t understand why 😝 I couldn’t stamp a straight line. It was so bent and wavy. I realised the stamper head was very convex, so it automatically bent the line. Those stampers are great for the rolling technique but not great for lines that need to be perfectly straight. For layered stamping when you need more precision, monocle stampers (as I wrote in my previous post) are excellent. You have more control over it because the design is closer to you and you can see it much better, so if you have to stamp on top of something else, it’s more precise. The regular stampers are great for “busy” designs or designs with curves. The squishiness of the stamper is also a factor ☺️ super squishy ones are great for picking up motifs or detailed illustrations. Firm stampers (without much curve) are great for picking up straight lines (like tartan prints). These tips help get the absolute cleanest images 😃

Oh, last thing!💡Anyone who reads the original comment and is looking for more information: DO NOT “PRIME” YOUR STAMPER WITH ACETONE/ANY LIQUIDS/BUFFING THE SURFACE 😭😂 You’ll ruin it! Maybe not right away, but over time (and quite quickly) it will turn cloudy and will degrade. Certainly don’t buff it, because you will just take much of the stickiness away. Stamper heads don’t need primed. If the image isn’t picking up, it’s 100% because of something else ☺️ As the OP said: too slow, too much pressure. As I add: wrong flexibility of scraper/wrong angle, polish unsuitable for stamping, type of stamper unsuitable for the specific design. Don’t ruin your stampers! 😭😂

This video almost scared me off trying stamping, it looked too difficult and I thought it would be a waste of money if I bought all the stuff and it didn't work. BUT it worked the very first time, I did all 10 nails without stuffing any of them up. I didn't need to prime the stamper and I have super curved nails and it still worked. Not gonna lie, this is one of the reasons I’ve become a holosexual and subscriber: Cristine doesn’t shy away from showing failure. There are plenty of tutorials one can watch to learn any number of things, but very few that show mistakes or failure. Haters wanna say she’s “trying to be Jenna Marbles” but maybe it’s just because she and Jenna are SUPER similar. Jenna posted an entire video explaining how she didn’t have a video because she couldn’t finagle turning her hair into a Hot Wheels track. awesome video! a little tip from a new stamper to another, add fast drying top coat over your base color so you can use sticky tape later to take off a stamp that didn't transfer completely! :) love your videos!

I absolutely loved this video, especially because I bought lots of plates for stamping and watched videos online on how to do it and still failed miserably the whole first day I tried them. So I have to admit that I am happy other people, who can actually paint nails struggle with them too. :)) I tried and LOT and managed in the end and this is what I recommend : 1. When scraping don't put a lot of pressure, (like gently touch the plate) even if the design will look "dirty", it will only transfer what is inside of the plates and not the stripes that may appear; 2. Use a credit card if the scraper you bought is not touching the plates entirely; 3. You can totally use regular nail polish, not necessarily stamp polish, just do some tests before, since some work better that others. If I could manage, after like hundreds of attempts, YOU CAN DO IT TOO! 🤞

I love your videos because I used to do a LOT of nail art then I stopped and then I did my nails the easy route by wearing Jamberry nail wraps and since the beginning of the year my nails have been naked. But anyways... I used to do nail stamping and for some reason I could never get the image to transfer to my nail properly. I used Bundle Monster and I had a couple different squishy heads but after watching your video I'm thinking I just didn't have the right one and I always got so frustrated. I saw another of your videos with the holo nail powders and I fell in LOVE! Once I can get my hands on some of that beautiful goodness my nails will probably never be naked again (unless the application process is a pain 😩).
