Cristine, I wanted to thank you for telling us about the best one coat black and the best holo top coat. I tracked down both. I live in a care home and we do nails every Monday. I’m the young one of the bunch at 52. I now have several “blue hairs” asking to have their nails painted black with Holographic Pearls as a topper. I do add a glossy coat of the Seche Vive gel effects just to make that holo sparkle even brighter. Thanks again for your humour and insight. Holo thanks from Kansas.

Northern lights is very light, and all the holo sinks to the bottom. You have to shake it up. It is a fast drying top coat made by Out the Door. It comes in the silver like in the video, but in gold also, which is also nice. I get it at Sally Beauty Supply. (Jan Griffiths, on hubby's account).

Quick check : I have 30 holo topcoats... Guess that makes me a holosexual since the majority of my polishes are also holos ! Great linear holo topcoats : Djinn in a bottle (Enchanted polish), Hocus Pocus (Girly bits), Leather and lace (Colors by Llarowe), Dance legend holo topcoat, Diamond holo (Funlacquer) and ChinaGlaze Wireless holographic topcoat (unfortunately that one has been discontinued). Scattered : My private rainbow X (ILNP), Holiday (Picture polish, LE so now unavailable), Galaxy holo topcoat (Glitter gal), Instant galaxy, Rainbow Juice (with pulp) and Rainbow dust (Enchanted polish), and I do keep a soft spot for China Glaze Fairy dust, my very first holo topcoat.
