In today’s episode of Impact Theory, I’m joined by investigative journalist and NYT best-selling author Annie Jacobsen to dive deep into the complex and chilling world of nuclear weapons and global politics.
Annie has done extensive investigative research into the military and intelligence community, and she is shedding light on the hidden truths behind nuclear arsenals and the influential figures who've shaped our modern world; the pivotal changes needed to steer away from this fate; and the intersections of military history, government secrecy, and the strategies that have shaped global policy.
We touch on:
- The importance of nuclear disarmament
- The motives behind nuclear arsenal upgrades
- Contemporary nuclear rhetoric from global leaders
- Nuclear weapon policies and historical shifts
- Investigative journalism and source validation
- Understanding nuclear weapons and alien theories
- Strategic deception within the UFO community
- Implications of revealing alien activity
- Conspiracy theories and government secrecy
- The complexity and potential catastrophic outcomes of nuclear conflicts
- The feasibility and desirability of nuclear zero
- Strategic manipulation by governments and corporations
- The potential for media to educate and influence public opinion effectively
Tune in to expand your worldview and grasp the complex dynamics that threaten yet also maintain global peace.
Chapter Markers:
[0:00] Cavalier attitudes towards nuclear war
[23:55] Distractions from disarmament
[45:17] Diverse perspectives in a polarized society
[1:09:44] Biometric technology in warfare
[1:24:42] The driving ethos of innovation
[1:40:07] Truth and perception in journalism
[1:52:29] Trust, nuclear war and aliens
[2:37:49] Politics, data, and ownership in current affairs
Powerful Insights From Annie Jacobsen:
"During the previous administration, when former President Trump was threatening nuclear war, in essence, with the leader of North Korea, I was shocked because that was so unpresidential, meaning every president, you know, before him was like, there was a tacit understanding."
"I am now at the conclusion that we are at risk, because I am echoing the concerns of people like President Biden, like UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, like the Nobel laureates I just met in Brussels two weeks ago at a nuclear, at the nuke Expo."
"Maybe some group of people prefers this idea, which is on the table right now in 2024, we need to upgrade our nuclear arsenal, which is what's happening right now, to the tune of a trillion dollars."
"Now, to my eye, that would be an argument for why it's really important to be able to have friends on both sides of the aisle, to be able to have, you know, people with fundamentally opposing ideas, hashing out what the future of nuclear command and control could or should look like."
"And once you have to be unified about something, ideally, you would be unified about other things because that's how progress happens."
"Warfighters will carry technology kits to be able to do all kinds of things from identify their enemies instantly through iris scans. I mean, all of this works together with biometric databases."
"We are one misunderstanding, one miscalculation away from nuclear Armageddon, nuclear annihilation"
"And this directly links to nuclear war, this crazy idea that you have to be on one side or the other and that the other side isn't just your adversary or your opponent, kind of, I see opponent as a sportsman, but rather that the other side is the enemy. And then if you are talking about an enemy, then you get into some really, you know, what I find to be odious language about destroying people."

@TomBilyeu, nicely done presentation. I still have 40 minutes left to listen. However, something I haven't heard spoken about yet is information about the 100's and 100's nuclear warhead missiles in the cilo bunkers across Switzerland, all prepared and ready for launch and owned and operated by the US government military. This is something that should be looked into and discussed. The last time I know for a fact that these were inspected by a Nasa/Lockheed Employee (I'm related to this Employee) took place from 2000 - 2010, since then I don't have any information, as they are now retired. Thanks for doing what you are doing.

She doesn't think that UFO's could be more highly classified than thermonuclear warfare plans? They have the ability to shutdown nuclear ICBMs from launching as was done at Malmstrom March 16, 1967, they have the speed and agility to intercept warheads in any phase (including terminal), and because they can travel under water 100's of MPH they can chase down enemy nuclear subs. Why would they not be more highly classified given these capabilities?

Trump 2024 = Revelation 13:3; it's all biblical planning. Biden brings us to the brink of WW3, and Trump saves the day and brings peace to the planet. All will love him. Then, he'll need to institute the mark to get rid of all the illegal aliens. All countries will follow suit. The world will love the antichrist while Israel builds his temple. And if you think Trump can't be the antichrist, tell me, who else on the planet has more charisma than Trump to lead us into a new age? You can't have Christ without the antichrist.

This threat has been hanging over the population my whole life and at 70 yo that is a really long time. Can you imagine having every kid in elementary school across the country being told to quickly get under their desks when an air raid siren sounded? We never knew if it was another practice drill or if we were going to die any minute and we knew the desks wouldn't protect us. We were terrified by the constant threat. More fear in my teens as we went to war in Vietnam. They stopped the draft the year above my graduating class, but I was friends with six guys who went. Of those, two never came home, one was murdered soon after he'd got home and the other three took awhile to get home as the army sent them to detox from the heroin they'd become addicted to. In my early twenties the cold war with the Soviet Union began. Gas pumped on odd or even days with block long lines to get some. I'd started storing water, etc. just in case. I could go on, but you get the idea. It wasn't until Fukushima that I really looked into the harm of nuclear weapons and energy. I was shocked to realize that no one was moving away from Fukushima as our news reported all these deaths happening over there and all that toxic air and water was headed here. Nothing happened. I looked at the Chernobyl disaster and found footage of men in tee shirts rummaging through the salvage. A different video showing animals were initially affected, but now the landscape was lush and green with animals thriving and residents who never left and are old now, still healthy and happy. abzu2.com/bruce-cathie-maps-the-world-grid-with-gridpoint-atlas/ I started thinking about Hiroshima and Nagasaki with people's flesh sloughing off their bones. How could the Japanese have rebuilt on the same site and moved right back? Wasn't it supposed to be deadly for millions of years? I began searching for information and I'm still not convinced by what I found, but that could be the programming. I came across Bruce Cathie who spent years studying ley lines. He claims that any nuclear bomb, for some reason I've forgotten, can only be launched on certain days and times and both sides knew this. abzu2.com/bruce-cathie-maps-the-world-grid-with-gridpoint-atlas/ Radium baths and water used to be seen as the cure for all disease and the fountain of youth; we still use it for curing cancer today. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZWrcoF5pKaJnLs And although I will not go so far as to say it's harmless, I will say that it might not be as bad as they want us to believe..We are probably already very radioactive as fracking and tests have resources toxic. Have you seen how many tests they've done on this planet? Most of them a stones throw from LA. This starts slow and doesn't go to present day, but... wow. How is it we are still here at all? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn2md2qshcahqLs I'm thinking it's been held over us so long it has to be being used more for fear generation as it is a dinosaur weapon. Both sides have much more advanced weaponry, but Russia has us beat by far. That is by design as it's time for another to be the world power now.

Humanity does not always have to fight. The only way disarmament can happen is when we realise that psychopaths and narcissistic people have to be identified at a young age. Then they need to be quarantined from any positions of power. This how tribes worked in history. It’s only when our communities become larger that these people can hide and by the time we realise this it’s normally too late. These conditions are untreatable that’s why quarantining them from decisions is the best option, however most people in todays society cannot recognise them and even idolise some.

Never felt close to nuclear war when Trump was in office. Now with all the wars going on (started over the last 2-3 years), I would not be totally surprised if things escalate (both internationally as well as inside our borders). We have fallen so far in such a short time - in so many ways. Sad we've been dragged in to such a situation - mostly willingly (of without much of a fight). Hope sanity prevails.

It goes into much more detail and describes how the weapons were made and the incredible environmental destruction caused by the mining of uranium alone, the enrichment and handling of radioactive waste, as well as the link to “civilian” or so-called “peaceful” use in nuclear power plants. Every generation needs to be reminded of this.

Nuclear war, grid war, biological weapons war. We are in the K wave economic cycle of winter which tends to be war season. If we can make it to 2033 without a major war then things should settle down for a while. IF

Jacobsen is wrong about Reagan's reaction to "The Day After" in an important respect. He stated the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) in order to move from offensive counterforce to defensive counterforce. He did immediately start negotiation with Gorbachev who wasn't in office yet. Also, there first face-to-face negotiations collapsed because Reagan wouldn't give up SDI. Of course she is totally dismissive of strategic defense.

Annie do you have a bunker that you can take your family and escape to? Would some of your friends be able to give you heads up lead time that things were turning hot Or do you like those of us on Military bases during the cold war hope that if it happens that you wished to become nothing but a shadow on the concrete to avoid the suffering before the inevitable end?

Subscribed, watch, & love your show, & Lisa's show- and, DUIUDE! You HAVE to get Dr Steven Greer on to discuss US furtherance of Nazi tech & downed UFOs for reverse engineering!! Greer & this guest would agree on ethics & Greer can really Bring It! Pleeeeeeezzzze.... get Greer!!!

For example, the Republicans focus on fear of people below our Southern Border so they can build a super secure electronic and physical barrier, rather than focus on the border as a unique area where solar power can be easily optimized and a place where water from the Columbia river could be sent south to solve all the water crises alongside Northern Mexico and Southern US and perhaps create a new food producing area.
