I second this! Got my first pack in 1995, and haven’t looked back! I have tried a couple other brands over the years, but D’Addario’s are the absolute best! XS for me 🎶🤘🏼

I’ve been playing guitar and bass for 56 years. I’ve tried just about every brand of string. I’ve been using D’Addario strings around 40 years. Every so often I try another brand.. well known brands. The other big name guitar strings break. Every time. I never break D’Addario strings. And another big name’s new bass strings sound duller than 9 month old D’Addario XLs! And the “hand wound” strings lack consistency. These are clearly the best made strings.

I recently started using electric XS 9-46 and have absolutely loved them! Can't believe how awesome they feel and how long they last. I use them in my live streams and never have to worry about them breaking and can always count on them sounding great. I hope the XS strings stick around for a long time. I'll be using them on all my guitars from now on!

Thank you for this 6-part insight into D‘Addario! I‘ve been playing your sets on my electrics and acoustics for 30 years now, collected the players‘ points on the sets and have them redeem while my daughter stayed in California for a school-exchange Programme in 2014. I also still use the string winders and remembered the ads with Pat Metheny in the mid 80s that were shown. Thank you for all your effort! Keep up the good work!🌈😎

That D'Addario is capable of creating their own alloy steel for strings is mind blowing! I mean, who can compete with that? So impressed by what I learned in this video and newfound respect for this company/family.

I started using D'Addario strings in '75, starting with electric guitars. Now when the product line is so good and broad, I use the D'Addario's on all my stringed instruments.

I will be an XT and XS player for life (until the next great D’addario innovation comes along). Every so often, I buy another brand of string just to see what’s out there . . . and I soon as I encounter QC issues from a brand new pack (not to mention practically having to beg for a replacement), it solidifies my choice in D’addario all the more so. D’addario has the best quality strings, customer service is unmatched, doing R&D and making as much as possible in-house, involving customers in QC and beta testing, being socially and ethically responsible, etc. . . . these things are all WAY beyond what I could want from a brand as a customer. D’addario is just way ahead of the curve. Whoever is still buying from other brands have no idea what they’re missing by not buying D’addario XT or XS strings!

30 years loyal to EXL, the only thing changed is the gauge. Currently 11-49, 10-46 and 11-56. Keep up a good job

Interesting video on the XS strings....I used to use Elixirs on my acoustics but they would break prematurely...especially the G string....they knew it because they used to give me free G strings if I contacted them....then they stopped...pissed me off....then I bought XS and have not broke strings unless I completely loosen them multiple times to relevel frets or something similiar....loosening the strings completely....nothing fights against that.....I never break XS strings even though I tune down all my guitars a 1/2 step when I'm not playing them much. I tune it back up to standard pitch and it's fine. I love the feel....feels like a normal string instead of the plastic feel with the elixirs

I’ve been using the strings for 43 years, and there is no competition. And in all those years, I have never had a string break during a performance. When I walk into a music store, pick up a guitar and they are strung with another brand, I am immediately put off. The guitar doesn’t feel right and sounds dead, as if the strings are a decade old.

In 2006-2008, I think, the 3, 4, 5 strings on my Floyd Rose started to break at the point of string contact. Now this problem is gone, but after two weeks there are dents from the frets, especially on the fourth string.

D'ADDARIO, when are you going to come out with a Hendrix guitar string set and an SRV guitar "Semi-Flat" string set? that is "Double Coated" coating the core and coating the wrapped wire. SRV used GHS "Rollerwound" guitar string set that the nickel wrapped wire is FLATTENED and "Compressed" by a computer controlled rollers in the winding process. Any Reasons why D'Addario doesn't have Rollerwound guitar semi-flat string sets? The D'Addario engineers are going to have to find a solution of the stress points at the guitars bridge is cutting and breaking strings in that area.
