All the nighttime comedians are bringing back audiences; they have returned to the same ol’ same ol’. This is like checking in on the family everyday, just to hear what nutty Uncle James has to say to everyone and to hear how the on-going familial ribbing continues. Please stick to the format.

I truly do believe they deserve an Emmy for the improv extravaganza that this show has turned into. Reminds me a little bit of the British panel shows Corden used to be on, but with an American twist. Since "Would I Lie To You" won a BAFTA, this should at least be nominated for an Emmy.

When the staff is genuinely laughing harder than the audience they are being paid to entertain, as an employee you know you landed with your ass in the butter. When I was younger, I used to say I’d never “act old” like the older folks around me did, complaining about aches that recently surfaced from childhood injuries. Then something outside of my thinking changed. At “almost 50”, I still felt invincible! When I turned 50, it was as if my body/bones said, “oh wow! We’re 50 now”, as if to remind all of my body, including closeup vision to permanently blur, bones to randomly lock, time in jogging miles to instantly decrease, back to injure from a simple random, common twist. In other words, no matter how young we still THINK we are, the body/bones know the truth! Adjustments WILL be made whether or not we want to adjust.

James has a mastery of timing. He is never afraid to work a concept with long silent pauses and he lets the crew do that too. His give and take is perfect. 🎭🤹🏼‍♀️James is the new Ed Sullivan of timing in modern day humor. As Ed would say, “…. and right here, on this stage … (looks left and yes, the guest showed up signals the assistant) .. right here … on this stage … the master of comic timing on the James Corden show … who will be playing drums perfectly while staring at the drummer, Sir James Corden.”
