There's an old episode of the dog whisperer where he's either in N. California or Washington going to pitbull rescue up in the mountain woods. He goes to a rapper's house and as they walk in the woods behind his house, they walk by a giant broken statue head. When pointed out..the rapper just says nonchalantly, oh there's stuff like this all over the place. Am I the only one who remembers this?

I'd like to hear a discussion on ORPHAN PLANETS. I didn't know they were a thing until about a decade ago. Ever since I've been very haunted & sad every time I think about these fully formed planets which got knocked out or slung out of their sun's orbit or somehow lost gravity grip and floated out into space all alone. Unless they come close enough to be trapped by another sun's orbit (which can wreak havoc on the established solar system) they're left to roam the deep darkness of space for eternity. By running into deep space, rocks or belts may be the cause of a lot of chain reaction destruction within systems causing us to say, "Wow there's a lot of damage and anomalous planet activity (in a particular solar system,) I wonder what happened?) Could be zillions of years ago an orphan planet bounced through like a pinball machine and just kept going! I've always found them fascinating & lonely 🥺

The aircraft is a C-17 Cargo plane that flew out of Hill AFB, Utah. Where Skinwalker Ranch is located it is in the normal route for military aircraft to fly over. Dugway Proving Grounds are not that far away from Skinwalker Ranch.

Dinosaus were around for millions of years, and their atmosphere had 10-20 time the carbondioxide. Eventually they did get climate change that made the Earth less lush, but it was a huge meteor strike that didn't leave a single dinosaur alive. Some gators, sharks and turtles, all miniature versions, is what's left.

54:30 The Moon is "round" because it's mass is big enough to be rounded by it's gravity. Also the Moon and our planet spun a lot faster in the past. That also contributed to it being round. Any and all celestial bodies over a certain mass are "round".

Siberia and Alaska had warm coastal belts during the Ice Age because the lower sea levels exposed the land bridge across the Baring Strait. That blocked the warm sea currents from the South, so that they circulated and raised the temperature along the coasts, but not enough to affect the ice sheets inland.

Many academics get so stuck in their ways because they'd have so many publications that would then be embarrassingly wrong. If they concede things are older, for example. You'd think in an establishment whose motto is 'Publish or Perish' they'd be happy to have new stuff to write about.

Why do you always assume that hunter-gatherers cant have a significant surplus of food and free time? Thats not necessarily the case. Just one big herbivore the size of a buffalo can feed a dozen of people for weeks. If you live in a place rich with game and youre very good at hunting, you can ideally take down one such animal per day per dozen hunters employed. You wont always be successful of course, but even if you only succeed half of the time, that would still give you plenty of room to accumulate a surplus. Two days to score a kill to feed you for lets say two weeks. Thats a pretty good ratio. And thats without even taking gigantic prey like elephants or mammoths into account. Imagine how much food you would get from just one mammoth.

There's nothing wrong with ad reads. It's not diminishing the quality of the content. It's a hard day nowadays, people need to earn money as long as it's not exploitative. Pretty sure you are earning some as well. Adpocalypse and demonetization why there's need an alternative way to put money on the table. Relying on YT limits their content. AVGN can put uncensored content because he do ad reads than relying on YT monetization.

Science is made up of theories, these consensus theories should update with new information or discoveries.. But frankly speaking these institutions have become stagnant cathedrals for zealots, not centers for the advancement of human knowledge. Now there are ways to tackle the "age" problems in dating fossils and artifacts. 1) the stratification method for dating is wrong, more specifically the principke of superposition. Or 2) superposition fails to take into account catastrophy's ability to quickly add or subtract layers of strata. For example Mt. St Helen's eruption vastly changed miles of terrain and added muliple layers of sediment in hours. I'm a proponent of human beings(as we are now) being relatively young, and that fossils would be impossible to find if not for disastrism. You don't typically find corpses in the wild for example, because the wild is very good at decomposing organic matter. FYI the Oort cloud theory is a way to explain comets being possible in our supposedly millions of years old solar system. (the comet "tail" is caused by it's icy body that would long ago be burned away. If the solar system is millions of years old that is.

@Critter145
@Critter145 Ай бұрын
@@GGregoryDarnley so, every generation has some new random-ish mutations of one type or another that gets passed on in the reproductive cells, sorry or eggs. Essentially, every generation passes a new set of single-letter changes to parts of the genome that may or may not really affect anything. Nevertheless, those changes add up over time because they’re effectively being “recorded” by virtue of being passed in the reproductive cells themselves. Eventually, enough changes can/will happen to cause a failure of the genetic system all together, kind of like random changes to an operating system code. For more information, look up Dr Robert Carter.

53:48 Ok. So. To clarify, the hypothesis regarding the formation of our solar system with particular regard to the earth and moon relationship is as follows. (For those of you in Rio Linda a hypothesis is an idea or explanation for something that is based on known facts but has not yet been proved.) There was another celestial body (possible binary twin to Sol, likely early Jupiter or rogue planetoid of significant size and mass early in the solar system's formation that either gravitationally influenced or one of it's satellites collided with a planet in the inner solar system, and put that body(the moon) into a new orbit. That body was then captured gravitationally by it's much larger and denser neighbor (the Earth) and became tidally locked. This cataclysm left a debris field (the total mass of which cannot itself have ever been a celestial body) between Mars and Jupiter, created the moons of Mars, Deimos and Phobos, and changed the inner solar system forever. Now ask yourself, what further proof do you need as to the existence of God? As all this is His creation, and He made this Earth for us. Uniquely and wonderfully made. I fine much more satisfaction in the tasting of the wine than in learning how the grapes were crushed for my benefit.❤😊
