gaming first started out in the arcade, but eventually shifted to the home. some companies tried to strike gold, but none did anything compared to the Atari 2600. the Atari had such hits as Pitfall and Donkey Kong, but also low quality games like Pac-Man. One game, E.T., was so garbage that it almost destroyed the home console industry. In this video, I go in to depth about what ET did to the industry, as well as what happened after the video game crash of 1983 with the success of the NES and Super Mario.

the reason why et flopped wasnt cause it was any worst than any atari 2600 game its just that there were only three good atari 2600 games and people were hoping et was gonna be one of em
