I am an electronics enthusiast. I remember in 2000, there were green and red LED all around. Used to wonder if we ever had blue LED, I could make cool projects. But it took about 18 more years, before the blue LED was cheaply available for hobby purpose. The first blue LEDs were quite expensive though.. The came the white, ultraviolet and all different variations.
