My wife and I own a 2021 312BHTS also. First class all the way. Great interior design. However, there is one problem. Field mice love the interior too. It would be nice if Grande design would fill in the holes that are behind the walls that we cannot see. If you open the bunkhouse slide out you will see what I mean. First go outside and open the outdoor kitchen. Then, go inside and open the cabinet drawers. You will be able to see the kitchen from the inside. They did not completely finish out the wall and mice enter through there. No worse feeling than knowing your grandkids are in there sleeping. Another entry point is where the slide out rod goes in and out. Hole is too big. Lastly, open the drawers in the master bedroom. You will find entry points there too. If Grand Design were to close those flaws while the RV is being built you won’t be up all night wondering if you felt something running across the sheets.

I came back to leave more comments. I have had my 5th wheel since 11-13 19, it's a 2020 model. I went to quartzite 1-3-20 and parked for night. the next morning we wanted to move and the main slide wouldn't come in.Call GD and was told to call modil tech which I did. He spent 3 hours and about 1 hour on phone and got it in but not fixed. We struggled through the winter down there and made it home and took it in to Bish's in Idaho Falls and They check it and adjusted it and away we went. Still not fixed right. We used it 80 days last summer and then took it back in the fall and it needs more parts. Going to do it this spring when it comes out of storage. TDI missed several items. Wire hang loose on panel in front by Batterys, The holds in the floor under the sink and range wasn't sealed and left a opening into the belly. Someone sat on the back cushion on sofa by door and mashed it down and DG will not replace it. Their is a lot of thorns on the Rosie picture you painted.

Hi family! We just subscribed to your channel and are happy to be with you and your families adventures. We just purchased a Grand Design 29RS and will pick it up in a few weeks and will be spending most of the winter in the south. We are hoping to be at the rally next year and tour the GD facility. After growing up traveling in a Winnebago Brave as a kid. (Parents purchased new and am now showing my age) I have always known that the company support was always the most important consideration when purchasing an RV and was the number one reason we purchased the GD. Happy trails!

Hey there! Thank you so much for reaching out to us 👍😁👍 You're going to love your GD, they really are so much nicer than most other brands. Where are you headed down south? We're probably heading towards Florida after Christmas with the family in VA.

Good video! We purchased this model two weeks ago. We have only made one small trip with it and have found several issues mainly with the fridge, shower, and bunk dresser. I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Oh no! Hopefully your dealer is responsive and responsible. If they try to give you the run around, call GD and they'll step in. One of the reasons they only have one dealer per region is so they can monitor their customer service more closely.

Really enjoyed. Still on our list. Went to Hershey this past weekend and we’re disappointed they didn’t have that model there this year.
@Five2Go6 жыл бұрын
It wasn't at Hershey last year either. I don't know why they don't show it off - everyone that comes in ours is always really impressed withe the layout and how much space there is. The bunkhouse models don't sell as well to the older crowd I suppose but as more and more families start getting into the market that'll change.

I'm pretty sure it was there last year. Thats why we were hoping to see it again this year. Anywho, if yall stop out our way (35 mi NW of Philly) we'll come see yours.

My wife and I just put a deposit down for a 315RLTS and we have done a lot of research over the past couple years on what unit we really want. I liked seeing the roof trusses going in during your tour as I plan on doing a solar panel install soon after we get it, which is in 39 days. I would love to do the same tour you did so I could find out where it is safe to drill and where should be avoided, just in case there is wiring or plumbing in a certain area of the rig. Thanks again for the video and keep on keepin on.
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
The 315 is a great rig, you're going to love it! I was also very happy to see the structure inside the roof, it gave me a lot of peace of mind for when I have to get up there.
@LifeofKriswithVSG5 жыл бұрын
Did u buy used or new? Would you do it differently? N why?
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
We bought our rig new because we knew that fulltiming was going to put stress on it. If anything had broken in the first year, we had the full manufacturer warranty. When you buy used you can save some money up front but dealer warranties may not be honored all over the country like a manufacturer warranty. You also have no idea how many miles a towable has (no odometer), what repairs were done, what repairs were done incorrectly, etc. We were way more comfortable with buying new because of how much time we were going to spend in it early on.

@@Five2Go I thought of one that woke me up last night lol after I watched your mail forwarding video...did you have to get a Texas license? I heard they have vehicle inspections...do you have to do that?

Yes, we have Texas licenses and did inspections on our way through last year. It's actually quite an easy process.

I’m appalled at how the drawers are stapled together sans joinery!
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
You have to get into some pretty expensive rigs to see actual joinery. I'm kind of surprised that most RVs don't even have cabinets and drawers equal to even basic furniture at somewhere like IKEA.
@ltcajh5 жыл бұрын
@@Five2Go I do a lot of woodworking. Setting up a dovetail jig to do repetitive cuts takes a minimal amount of time. This is how desperate RV manufacturers are to make the extra buck or two!
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
I think the cost-cutting is in the materials more than the process. I don't think most of the wood I've seen in RVs is substantial enough to even DO a dovetail join with. They could definitely have better hardware than wiry little staples though...

Hello, we just purchased a new 2018 Reflection 312BHTS. I was wondering how you like the suspension of this big rig and have you done or are you planning to do any upgrades to the suspension, as you are taking it on many miles? We are looking for to our first adventure with this TT. We upgrades from a Cherokee Grey Wolf 23DBH. Great Video. Thank you for bringing us along.
@Five2Go6 жыл бұрын
To be completely honest - we've done nothing to upgrade our rig and we've towed it over 13k miles with no issues whatsoever. Just watch your tire pressure and you'll be fine. If anything ever fails, I'll probably upgrade (to moryde and the like), but I see no reason to do it until it's an issue. You're going to love the 312, it's a great and very comfortable rig!

Hey y’all, we just found your channel and we enjoyed it. We are signing for our Solitude today. Just a quick question have y’all purchased an extended warranty? If so from who? Thank y’all.
@Five2Go6 жыл бұрын
We didn't get anything beyond the manufacturer's warranty. They're so expensive, and we've had them on cars before and never used them. We haven't even needed the normal warranty on our rig so far and it's been a year. Other people have issues every once in a while though... If you're going to use your camper a lot while it's still within the manufacturer's warranty, maybe just stick with that. If you're going to use it occasionally over more years (so less wear up front), maybe the extended makes sense? Let us know what you decide, and thanks for finding us and watching along! 👍😁👍
