If you come from a home with parents or parent who struggled you have to learn how to get through life and overcome a lot. A lot of the world is struggling with porn. Of course some do not care if they watch it but some do. I hope no one ever makes him feel stupid for wanting to let go of it. I have been off of it and feel a 100 percent better in my mind. It does make you more interested in knowing ppl and listening to them. Helps you use your mind more and be more intimate.

Single or not, it's actually necessary and healthy for your body to empty the tank every 3-4 days. That's why people who hold off for too long will eventually have a "wet dream", it's your body's way to do the necessary job that you won't do. Pornography is bad for a plethora of reasons, but not masturbation as a whole, so single people can and should do it once or twice a week (without porn) to maintain prostate health and immune functions.

I know not everyone who is trying to get off porn is religious - but as a Christian lady, I realized I had a really narrow mindset on my porn struggle. Either A) The Lord was going to 'heal' me of my struggle with it, or I'd be sinful forever and keep turning to porn. But I never considered the option that He might not take the struggle from me. Would I still choose to follow Him even if I struggled and felt tempted all my life? That changed everything for me a month or so ago, and i've been free from the temptation to seek it out since.

I’m a 26 year old woman who watches porn often and I’ve struggled to see how it affects me negatively but now I’m starting to… I definitely do focus way too much on sexuality and not intimacy/connection. My ex didn’t have a high sex drive and said how he values just being with me and snuggling me way more than having sex and that hurt/offended me because I felt like he was saying he doesn’t like having sex with me. I know he didn’t mean it like that and he assured me when we did make love he really enjoyed it but I have this idea in my head that he should want to have sex all the time and if he didn’t, then I wasn’t attractive or desirable or valuable to him. Fucked up.
@44westwindАй бұрын
Well said. I think this is how most men feel. It’s important to know that people have different libidos and it doesn’t mean they don’t love us. I learned how to wait a few days or more and appreciate how the gap in time made the intimacy more special . I also learned, like Theo said, to take that sexual energy and refocus it into my body to feel good and strong and more productive

For me it's about both. I want that heart connection but I also want that deep passionate sexual bond. The world views sex as this animalistic urge and this commodity to be used as an exchange of power or value, but the truth is that sex is the conduit to your soul and when you combine it with the heart connection it is the most powerful form of exchanging love you can ever experience. You can love a person down to the fiber of their being if you have a heart connection with them during sex.
@smokingcrab2290Ай бұрын
@ozoz189, men are demonized for even wanting sex. Sex isn't just this urge that men have. It's one of the greatest ways we give love. But women don't want to receive it because they gaslight themselves into thinking it's all men want.

Get in it for the long run, adjust, experiment, try to find ways to abstain.. most likely you wont kick it off completely immediately.. but perhaps in a year or two, after x amount of relapses and lessons learned.. It's hard for young men to resist porn, which really is quite a waste of time and energy. I understand the industry exists as part of "free speech", but it really is not a good thing.

It has existed in various (and far worse) forms since the dawn of human beings. We are animals first… our intellect alone allows us to control animal instinct.

It creates faulty neuronal pathways it’s like an invisible poison because the images stay in your mind through those created neuronal pathways, to repair it you must commit the rest of your life to building and replacing those thinking patterns to other positive ones and never watch it again

Look at Theo, changing young people’s brain chemistry, one at a time, by demonstrating how its possible for vulnerability to be lighthearted, yet informal, & sharing his struggles w/ something so raw as his emotional ties this taboo topic that is as widespread as his platform’s reach 🎊

I think if you're mentally healthy you can settle into a relationship. But if you aren't happy or lack reasoning or connection porn can exasperated issues.

Very courageous of Theo Von to share his struggles with this much transparency. Gives us a new perspective of how to look at the problem and dangers of porno. Much appreciated.

Theo's ability to say things in an incredibly funny way offset the embarrassment of talking about incredibly vulnerable things

Pretty incredible the amount of amazing resources we have access to now. I guess it’s weird that the thing that gives us access to all these resources is the same thing that causes the problems that make them necessary in the first place.

I quit a 6 year weed and pornography addiction 6 days ago. I’m already feeling so much better and my relationships with my family as well as friends has already started to improve. I’m so glad I did it and I encourage anybody on the edge to just go for it. Make yourself want to quit and you’ll feel so so much better❤❤
