If you haven't read Phil's memoir Shoe Dog, defiantly check it out. Reading every chapter always makes me feel as if Nike wasn't going to make it. But Phil lives by the company philosophy of Just Do it. Incredible life.

My feelings.of optimism while reading may be in part because im l8ving in the present and know the outcome. But there is a sense of destiny i detect while reading. That Mr. Knight knew his calling. He chased and pursued it. And ive seen so often that the pursuit, the struggle, the adversity, is the road... is the way.

It's absolutely mind blowing that there were multiple times he got a 2nd job cause he thought he couldn't pull through, multiple times they almost went bankrupt, multiple times that Nike almost didn't make it. But he was relentless and fought like hell. It was never about money. He was fighting for what he believed was his calling. What an incredible story.
