How Pogacar Achieved the Best Cycling Season in History

Tadej Pogacar has won Il Lombardia 2024 after an attack with 48 kilometers to go in his umpteenth exhibition of the season, the best in cycling history. Not only that, he claims that he has done it totally clean and that he should not be burdened with the dopers of the past. Remco Evenepoel has to settle for second place, more than 3 minutes behind, a record that hasn't happened since the doped Eddy Merckx won the 1971 Giro di Lombardia.

Anyone who understands the basics of pro cycling and has seen the Giro di Lombardia elevation profile, especially after the final major climb, will know that anyone who can put a minute or bigger gap on the final climb, will have an easy job to the finish., because it was mostly decends after. Putting several-minute gaps on your own on the climbs is nothing extraordinary., has been done by far less special riders than Pogi. People are so desperate for scandalous entertainment, they'd rather accuse a rider of doping than point the finger at race organizers, who heavily favor climbers over sprinters, leaving most podium positions pre-determined, as exceptional climbers are far scarcer than decent sprinters, so you automatically reduce the chances of victory to a couple of riders, instead of a decent part of the peloton.

Then after losing that year, create his own team that didn’t include Floyd Landis, who begged to be included.
