Exactly. Politicians are our elected representatives and it's their job to see that government employees perform their duties properly. Corruption happens when these two entities collude. Be prepared to go anywhere in any position . Follow the rule book and principals of natural justice. At least courts may come to your rescue when you are unnecessarily harassed by politicians. Civil servants should mind that politicians are elected by a large number of people and they have to carry those masses. When I was in the revenue department very liberally allotted d- patta lands to all eligible poor. Local politician wants two of his candidates to be included who are not fully eligible . I obliged . That gave freedom to me to allot hundreds of patta lands to many poor and voice less. Otherwise that politicians would have become a big hindrance in my work
