I like the build timelapses. When we see the creation of the spacecraft, we feel a lil more connected to what's happening during a launch.

But also totally skip them if it makes it easier for you to edit. I come here for more than just the build montages! :)

I adore the build sections! I personally go to your videos for advice when i am stuck in my own playthrough and these help a lot!
@Carnasa9 ай бұрын
I shall have to try and include them a bit more in the future! I’ve next weeks episodes all edited already and I can’t remember if I included any in those, but going forward from then I’ll try and include as many as I can. (Also depends on whether I actually filmed them, as a lot of the time I haven’t filmed them) but further filming I’ll try and include them!

I remember I was worried this series was going to fizzle out when you had that ~6 week gap through all of January and some of February which would have been a bummer because this is one of the slickest and best RP-1 Programs and Launch Complexes playthroughs on youtube. so I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was when I checked the other day and saw that you’ve been uploading a new part almost every 3 days the last few weeks ❤️
@Carnasa8 ай бұрын
Had a lot going on in January and that hour long video just killed a lot of the enthusiasm I had for this series :p got it back though and started making more manageable 20/25 minute long vids haha, another two will be coming this weekend, but after that going back to one a week otherwise I’ll likely burn out again (I’ve spent the last four weeks doing very little other than editing) But glad you’re enjoying it and hopefully there should still be much more to come!
@STS-Dreamer8 ай бұрын
@@Carnasa oh yeah 100%, you absolutely owe us nothing and its amazing that you make these awesome (and frankly helpful to a lot of fellow RP-1 P&LC players) videos for us in the first place; I definitely wouldn’t take this deluge of bangers as some new standard to hold you to or any other weird entitled behavior that seems to creep into a lot of comment sections lol. there’s a lot of great KSP content creators and a lot of great RP-1 / RSS / RO content creators as well, but you beardy and N9 (especially you :P) really nail the combination of a clearly well informed awareness of spaceflight history, and great humor all wrapped into a tightly edited high stakes compelling narrative. all this to say you are incredible at what you do and I hope you continue to do what you love and that you find it as fulfilling and as enriching as the thousands of people who watch it do ❤️

For the probe around Mars, you can go into Kerbalism's application menu for it, and under "Auto" you can cycle throught the devices and set them up to turn off when power is low and back on when power is high. I believe they're set for 20% and 80%. Also, I love everything. Flights, mission planning, builds, all of it.

Fun fact: MechJeb has a resonant orbit mode in its maneuver planner, just set up a circular GEO and then plan your resonant orbit, then merge the nodes together.

Test flight really needs to be better fleshed out. Engines have failures for reasons and when they do, engineers fix that problem and it tends to not fail again the same way again. The amount of failures test flight throws at you is way to high to be realistic. I think one option that mod needs is a "run static fire campaign" where it costs you a bit of money and time but significantly improves the reliability of your engines.

Part of the fun of playing KSP is the building part. I believe keeping it would be nice. You could give a brief overview of the craft, inspirations in the design, or other details while you show the building process

can u make a zip file for the mod pack the mod list its gonna take very long to install all that with ckan
@Carnasa9 ай бұрын
I answered this same question from someone else on the last video, and it’s a no for two reasons, my install is about 50gb in size so it’s massive, and if I did this it’d break KSP’s TOS for distributing game files, I also have blackracks volumetrics which are not publicly free yet, and yeah I just can’t do it. If you click the rp1 express installation link in the description of the video (or Google it) it’s super easy to install to get a mostly identical install with some minor differences, like a few clicks on ckan and that’s it :)
