I wish yall covered Pat's YT career, his relationship with Jen, and why the audience enjoyed Pat and Jen's dynamic during the first half of the video more in depth (2015-2018), it would have given more of an impact to the conclusion of the video if yall showed more of the good times before Pat's fall. I enjoyed the coverage in the later half of the video tho.
@astralguardian59307 ай бұрын
Yeah, I think that should be the big thing that destroyed the channel and probably slowly drove Pat to the lows he hit. The PopularMMO channel was basically built on Pat and Jen's personality and dynamics. And for the good 10-12 years people enjoyed it and stuck around for the antics and the duo playing off each other. When they divorced both IRL and in the content that's when most the problems started showing. The views went down because the people who really enjoyed the dynamic didn't really get the same spark from the new GF or the collaborations with other MC KZbinrs, and when the views went down Pat lost some of the spark for making content, and then the coffin was finally laid to rest when Pat got arrested. It was a great channel and definitely a part of a lot of people's childhood/teenage life and it was sad to see it go, but every peak has it's valley and that valley was too much for Pat to handle, it broke him in the fall.

I dunno. Pat seems like a highly emotional guy, evidenced by his response to Eleni and everything that happened with Liz. By his ten year relationship with Jen, unless something drastically changed, I don't think he's likely to be an abuser. I just think it's more likely he and Liz are terrible for each other, and need to get away, or maybe just Liz needs professional mental help and is not ready for a relationship. I could be biased though. It's terrible how everyone can see his life just get flushed down the toilet because of this. I used to watch him and Jen a long time ago when I was a kid. It makes me reflect on myself too, because I've dated women not dissimilar to Liz. Not abusive, but not... right, you know? My first girlfriend, my first love, cheated on me with my friend's brother and then dragged me down for months before ending it. She had her own issues and own struggles that I won't go into, but she had massive mental health problems because of it. I didn't date for years after that. I just recently got strung along by another girl with massive mood swings for months who would send signals, say she likes me etc but then not want to go on a date and fuck random guys at parties. Some days she was happy and bubbly and some days she could give a fuck. I recently got out of her shadow, but it still hurts. I need better standards and self esteem, clearly.

Although i do still talk to women and have them show interest, I also haven't gotten into a new relationship in the years since for the same reasons and find myself ghosting them within a few days. Nowadays, It's hard or even impossible to see or envision myself getting into a relationship ever again, getting married, having kids-even if I want to, while I used to dream of having someone I could share my life with and start a family with. Pretty much this video is focused on Pat's relationship with Liz, but I wanna delve into both Liz and Eleni. Both Liz and Eleni had bizarre stories about Pat. Eleni had no abuse from Pat, but she used Liz's stories to make it look like she never made a mistake in her life and that Pat abused her. Eleni had pictures of men on her Twitter, whether it'd be her friends or even relationships she had been through. Liz, on the other hand, posted tiktoks about the drugs she took and the wounds she received from Pat. However, even though the reports say Pat had a knife, she never received any sort of cuts whatsoever. To make matters worse for Liz's reputation, she went back to Pat and cheated on him a lot of times even after all the crap she went through because of his "abuse." This proves that she lied about her situation over a year and tried to gaslight many viewers about her injuries while one of her exes came on one of the KZbin comments saying that Liz is horrible. In conclusion, both Liz and Eleni blew it and should've known the consequences of dating and backstabbing a popular KZbinr with a toxic fanbase. Eleni refused to own up to her mistakes and tried using other people's stories to cover up her past. While Liz did infact get the word out about physical abuse. However, she missed out on an important aspect besides that, and that's mental abuse. She ignored that, and it made people to refuse fo believe her garbage stories of lies, and it turned out to be nothing but a selfish antic by her as a cash grab from Pat's wallet. And speaking of Pat's fanbase, most of them are no better than Eleni and Liz. While they may have gone into lying about Pat to protect their selfish asses, they've constantly jumped into the comments section, doxxing them and even wishing death on them, which is insane. Wrapping up on the argument, both Eleni and Liz made their mountain, and all that they will see of it is to collapse. They made their bed and now had to lie in it for the rest of their lives, with detractors still chasing them.

It's hard to believe that I live in a timeline where two of many of my personal enjoyable documentary titans collab together and make an interesting but one Hell of a video. As for the topic, it's destructive knowing that a channel I watched as a kid had such controversy and unfortunate events. Glad Jen got everything she wanted in life, honestly. Such a shame to know Pat is a less than a shell of his former self. Either way, hope to see more documentary dives like this and other collabs with various content creators in this genre. Keep up the amazing work, dude.

@@bungiecrimes7247 Isn't it that he's going to strip clubs and doing drugs (or other substances) now? if that is true, I think there is something with him, I wouldn't say he's anything close to an alcoholic but I recall reading that he almost attacked his (current or ex?) girlfriend with a knife after he got really drunk one night he's free of making Minecraft videos, yes, but you word it as if he was forced to make them

To think, if Pat had stayed with Jen, if he had built a family, if he had a kid to keep him accountable, none of this would have happened. The crazy "girlfriends" (let's face it, gold diggers.), the arrests, the alcoholism, and all the depression he's gone through would NOT have happened. His refusal to grow up and step into the next chapter of his life, fatherhood, is his downfall. Let this be a lesson

27:58 Most of Liz's allegations are probably false. Considering that she has various mental illnesses and has been shown to be an unreliable narrator. The only thing that shows that Pat did anything wrong is the security guard's testimony that he chased Liz. But Pat says that Liz was attacking him, so he was probably trying to drive her out.

im not at all trying to say that its imperative that Jen does say something, but i really do wonder how she feels about everything that has happened to Pat. I used to religiously watch them as a kid so when all of this first came out about Pat i was devastated. He didn't deserve to have all of that happen to him. No one does. I only hope he can grow and thrive after all of this.

We all miss the legend that we thought we knew and loved, but rewatching all the content that I used to as a kid, it hurts to know what happened and how much of a turn his life took. I'm so happy for Jen tho.
