As an early fan of splitgate, I can safely say that splitgate 2 is looking incredible. My one complaint that I hope can be addressed is the performance on a lower end PC, I use a gaming laptop to hybrid uni work and gaming and the specs are decent however in the alpha, I was struggling to reach even a stable 30fps. Hoping there can be a way to help those who cant afford higher end equipment but I really cant wait to play when it releases, even if I'm at 20fps XD

I love what theyve done so far and the direction of the game. It would be cool if there was a map editor at launch and you could make your own custom experiences like portal puzzles, parkour or a PvE experience. It would make Splitgate more than just a fun arena shooter. Also I hope they appoach SBM and EOM in the right way.

I love the dev diary style of the video! It’s awesome to see how this game was thought of to how far it’s come, truly incredible and awesome to see the idea come to life and enjoyed by so many people! One thing I missed about Splitgate 1 when trying the Splitgate 2 beta was the lack of portal walls and I’m so happy that was addressed from player feedback being listened to, that’s so great to hear! I’m so hyped to play!

The first Splitgate was so refreshing in a time where FPS were dominated by the outbreak of BR modes. Absolutely love this, The biggest issue I have with most shooters is they ignore feedback. As long as you comment on most issues/positives that is the key and what will make this game as successful as the first.

Love that you made it a priority that it is 90% skill and only 10% class difference that decides who gets the kill. Because that is what i loved about splitgate 1. when you die, you knew it was because the other player is just better than you and not because he has some ability/weapon that you don’t have. Makes it more satisfying to dominate a lobby

So excited! One of the main things I loved about Splitgate one is that it felt like Halo to me. I hope there’s customization for the characters skins and weapons. I not a fan of factions personally I think it’s much better if everyone starts on the same footing but that’s the Halo fan speaking. I definitely would love to see party games for sure, some of those silly matches were absolutely fun, especially Speed Bats (bring Speed Bats back please 🙏) I would also hope map creator is back because that is always great to see the community build maps for more fun. Again this all from a Halo fan but yes excited as always!

I agree with you on the factions. Weapon pickups in map and having everyone balanced is the best way to do an arena shooter instead of locking weapons, abilities, and passives.

Meaningful variety with a purpose! Love the motto, and my biggest hope for Splitgate 2 is that it adds more projectile weapons/grenades, which would be meaningfully different from "this gun fires faster" or "this gun has less accuracy". Weapons with projectile arcs would take advantage of gravity and momentum through portals; chuck a bomb through a portal jump and watch it detonate on some suckers from above.

splitgate was just so fun. I love that you can play the game in so many different ways and still be fun. I also love that the core mechanics aren't cluttered with loads of hot keys and buttons it is a great fps game. It is just so perfect thanks for the hundreds of hours of fun. I feel that number two will be awesome. but have to wait to play first.

Been playing Splitgate since 2020. Greatest arena shooter I've ever played. Skill ceiling is high, learning curve steep. Quick to pick up, hard to master. I love how it had the old school Halo and Quake feel with the weapon pickups and how the maps were designed.

Gl splitgate community! Wonder how many different gamemodes can you get out of this! Imagine a gun game, infected, a gamemode where you shoot your opponents portals with a large party of course, etc. What about a cinematic in game editor for the community! You can go down a halo 3 in game fileshare route and allow people to share videos/pics/gamemodes/jukebox mode/forge mode/etc. Good luck with the game guys!

Congrats to everyone working at 1047! Played splitgate a bit before it popped off and then when it did too, really fun game I love the strategy that comes with placing portals to watch two different parts of the map or to watch your back. Hope you dig into this a little more allowing more variety with where and how you can place portals!

When I saw splitgate was comming back and looked cleaner and more polished my exact thoughts were "Hahm.... not too sure if they will do well, its a tough market to stay relevant in and Im not too sure the game is unique enough and will have enough content to retain players". I am still not entirely certain but the simple fact that you guys have released this video makes me hopeful. Players like myself love to see 2 people sat on a couch talking about how they just had an idea they thought was cool and made it, and hope others enjoy. I wish you two the very best. I will definitely play when it comes out.

This is Excellent community engagement and messaging, I hear you guys loud and clear! I loved splitgate, really glad to see you guys took all the feedback to heart. The game looks so fun, and way better than splitgate! I might want to make a mod and special map etc - let your playerbase have fun with tools to make content and let us build a community through that experience, people really love active modding community games and this should fit really well into that with UE5. I think this could potentially be one of the funnest games to make maps in Quickly, so maybe experiment with making that easy to explore and iterate on the fly with lobbies. You guys have a winner for esports longevity if you stay committed to your vision in this video. Stoked for you guys thankyou for the great games so far PLEASE dont kill us with microtransaction or paywalling things out of the blue. If money becomes a problem, talk to the community about How They Want To Support You, ask us what we want to spend our money on - because we do want to support great game developers! 2:18 I dont want to sound cynical or harsh but I don't think that was the main reason people left. They didn't leave because they didn't know how to play. They left because the gameplay simply got stale after a while. I understand you guys believe that the issue is the former and adding bots early on will solve things but that just further magnifies the real issue of the game getting somewhat stale after a while. I'm not saying i have the answer to solving player retention, but what i noticed when talking with my friends and co workers is that they seem to agree that after you play for a few days, they feel like they've seen pretty much everything the game has to offer. I really hope you guys succeed as you guys seem like great dev team and i personally was a fan of Splitgate 1. All the best and i hope i provided some insight even though it may not be a common opinion in the community. Cheers and best of luck! :)

20-30 years ago people were getting entertained by trying to getting better at the game, so varienty of gameplay, constant changes and flow of new content was simply not required. todays gamers cant enjoy fps itself by just pointing and shooting at other players, they need a ton of gimmicks and grindable achievements/battlepasses to be a reason to just play the game

Niiice i love the changes i will trust this game's upcoming patches. I personally don't like the "last round no respawn" thing as it only works if the spawns are perfectly made, which sometimes in arena shooters you just assume they aren't so you play along. I don't mind game modes with no respawn rounds, but mixing both doesn't sound good imho.
