For the people who are avid in these, they appeared off of airsoft restrictions, and there are some really cool realistic ones out there. From what I’ve seen they basically all shoot at the same speed when full auto, so it just depends how powerful at the speed. The best ones are the bottom load mechanism type because the top load ones can jam since they’re only relying on gravity. The barrel extension or inclusion on some that makes them glow like tracer rounds is awesome and so is the flash extension. This brand isn’t the best but they seem to be the industry standard rn. I like that what we all knew as orbeez is now an airsoft ammo.

Played with one this last summer and they are bad ass!! Friends had several of them and put the slower barrels on for the children. Smart they thought of that so both adults and children can have a blast!

Gel blasting scene is massive in parts of Australia because airsoft is banned. You can get models and upgrades similar to airsoft. The market has evolved from plastic stuff like that into full metal glocks with gas blowback etc. Great stuff too because it leaves literally no mess and is cheap af. Favourite gel balls would be either orange or milkies. Only legal in QLD as far as I know cause their courts deemed it a toy while other states are banned unfortunately.

love the videos! one thing I was surprised that you did not go over was the disintegration of the gellets as mentioned in the beginning of the video. would be nice to have seen a close up time lapse of them disintegrating as that seems to be a key component as if someone were to use one of these say indoors.

use to play paintball when it was super popular. it was really fun when everyone just came out with some crappie guns and had a blast. fill like the sport killed itself when the more expensive guns came out that short way to fast and the paint got too costly to play. I bet you could give these to a set of people and they all would have a blast! the jel idea seems to work well.

@@Lxr646 If it is then that's fully biodegradable and actually would give nutrition to the soil. But you always have to look deeper at these things. Such as, what chemicals do they need to combine with the gelatin in order for it to expand the way it does when water is added etc and how it's able to keep it's form under shot pressure. I doubt it's 'just' gelatin.

Sodium polyacrylate is the 1% I believe. The same material is nappies/diapers. Apparently pretty safe but can take a while to degrade in the environment if there's lack of water.

Random reminder since apple doesnt advertise it anymore. Lew reminded me I used it yesterday to measure my moms cabinet to help her fit her tv. If you have an iPhone 8 or newer. Swipe down on the home screen and type in “measure”, its an AR ruler(baked into iOs)and its 99.999% accurate. I say 99.99% because its accurate only if you sure you picked the right starting spot, aka , the bottom for instance of the wall and not the dot choosing the side of the wall. Here in the UK a member of the public mistakenly thought these were real gun phoned the police and an armed response team were sent to apprehend the kids that were playing in a town centre. They had them laying on the ground hands behind their heads and the police guns were pointed at them. Bottom line is don't even play with toy guns in a public place.

You can modify these guns to have a higher velocity if you know what your doing . Me & my friends come from a paintball background & we all found a way to get the maximum velocity of 270 FPS out of these things , that’s the best velocity setting for paintball guns because anything higher than that your risking hurting someone or breaking protective eye wear , I had it happen to me when I played paintball , a ball went through the lens of my paintball mask , come to find out the guy who shot me , his gun was at 310 FPS & he shot me from 25 or so yards , I was ok but he just shattered my lens & my lens wasn’t cheap because it was a peripheral vision lens , it had a field of view of 190 degrees & them lenses were like $60 dollars back then .

Good thing we don't get a "limited" supply of gel pellets. My brothers used to play bottle rocket wars with their friends. Yep they shot bottle rockets at each other. Now that they're slower with age I could totally see this being the next popular thing to shoot at each other. I'd get it just because it is cool.
