I love that bit at the end where Shion says she'll snitch on Ranga for getting loving from someone besides his master. She was jealous because Ranga complained that he hasn't licked Rimuru in a while and Shion said she's never licked Rimuru and Ranga said I don't care. Ranga, Shion and Diablo are all members of the head pats club. Ranga gets head pats, Diablo wants head pats and Shion gives Rimuru head pats with her oppai when he's in his slime form.

I want to see ranga and rimaru combine one day. Just imagine how much more powerful they would be if they fought as one, ranga's own solid, non-malleable body giving rimaru's amorphous form much greater resistance to going splat, and being flung too far apart when being hit REALLY hard.

Ranga can't just merge with anyone.Especially Shion as shion don't have the skill and the need for it.Meanwhile..Rimuru is also the same he don't need it

i dont know, ranga fighting by himself wouldn't look very good as he a basically a dog with magic. dogs cant fight don't use their legs in fighting so it basically running around trying to bite the enemy while casting storm, not much of a fight. his unification makes him more human-like form so he can fight with arms and legs making it showier.
