That a good point but only if they within range which is 10 feet so Ashton Orym and chetney might get it but if Dorian is that close to Tavon then he’s in the wrong place during combat

To be fair, Vox machina couldn't kill the Kraken and one of them Percy couldn't use his whole subclass as he's a gunslinger and he was underwater where he couldn't use his guns. So it was really six members of Vox machina and are basically NPC level Percy fighting something that they could not kill. Under water, which I think was there first Under water encounter.

Knowing Matt and looking at the normal chain demon, I think he'll use that and buff it with at less 300 more hp, legendary actions, and lair actions as it already has magic resistance so there are spells are doing half damage and any saving throws it would have an advantage plus the aoer wild magic that makes any spell of fourth level or higher a risk to cast in a party where there is 5 of the Nine are primary spellcasters not counting what Sam might have brought to the table. Plus it has devil sight that lets it see through magical Darkness something that only Luanda has and maybe the devil paladin.

Oh yea when he said there were chain everywhere i instantly thought of the chain demon it’s hard not to I think we’re gonna be looking north of 300 maybe even north of 400 it’s gonna get 2-3 legendary actions and a nasty once per turn lair action to turn one of the players for sure this thing has changed the whole level to its lair

@@ZodiacBandit my main thought is that instead of a grand demon being a species it's a member of a demon race that has just been so old so powerful at that point that it is reaching the demon prince level so it's just a very old very powerful chain demon. As for what legendary actions and Lair actions it could have definitely a Lair action that either attacks them let's say four of them with a chain attack or one of them with a mental attack that charms them like we saw with chutney and Dorian. As for the legendary actions if there has three did I say a chain attack that also drags them in so range attackers the mages can't just stay back, a chain attack that also restrains, and a stun phychic attack.

Yea when I’m recording I don’t have much scripted that wasn’t so I was trying to recall on the fly what it was 10,11 is 0 12,13 is 1 and it goes up from there in the moment it’s hard to recall

i still say throwing the demon at loondaness is the best move the hells can do. eather loondaness gets his punk arse bet by a demon or expends a bounch of spell slots defeating the demon. makinf all him all the easyer to stab. the hells 'defeating' dominox is just going to work in loondaness favour

Oh for sure the best play is to somehow make Ludinus fight Dominox but that’s much easier said then done especially with Tavon wanting to kill dominox
