Well, its arguably easier since charts are designed for two pads, making it slower and more readable. But it definitely more tiring in exchange of it being easier.

I once saw a MoFo do this in 2019 during my birthday. I celebrated at my town's small mall and the place had an arcade place. Of course there was a DDR game and when me and my friends were done with it... this god-like being, who knew the intricacies of the game, set the difficulty on max, made the the movements faster and put that song that was like a remix of classic music (the hardest song in the game). Bastard was moving like a god with the two pads. He made Michael Jackson look like a toddler learning how to walk.

@@songbird515 you don't need to hit the panels hard at all. On properly functioning pads, a light tap is sufficient. When you move that quickly, you'll notice that your muscles can only contract so quickly, so the bar speeds things up by reducing our weight. It's a very different experience to do a 100m dash when you're 150lbs vs 225lbs, for example

I had a friend of mine who was just like the gal in the first bit of this video. He’d turn on “pump it up pro” at the bowling alley & just grab the back bar & go nuts. He was good friends with some of the staff so they’d jus let him use the key to turn the machine on for free. It was impressive to watch him go crazy on that machine. .

The f..k? I guess these stories are common) In my city there were only two PIU arcades, and one with the most okayish state and at least somewhat decent version was at the bowling. That's where I played it, learned it... not really mastered, but at some point I was known by every person in staff, so sometimes I could grab a key and do something with the machine. It was used to change some settings, to activate USB ports and upload some patches on F2. However I never used free coins, since... well, it was probably only me who played Pump It Up here, disinclude some incredible rare occasions. Those were times of hope to find someone who will play with me too. ... In the end they just throwed away the arcade or sold it, I couldn't trace where. I live in Russia and we have, like, "the big database" of every found arcade in the country (since they are really rare here) and this one hasn't show up anywhere since then. That was the end of my "career".

Not really accurate to the song itself, but animation screen and animation of dancer are in sync. Song is ego-ism 440 (challenge). As you can tell by the clap track, the steps of the actual songs are different (not saying they should've cared that much, it is just a short animation sketch) Also they used the yuisin challenge chart upload, evident by the clap track (which doesn't play in normal gameplay). Also idk why but for the background they use an edited version of Valkryie dimensions background, probably because egoism 440 doesn't have its own background Also, not only this but in ddr the jump notes are always same colour. Also, jump notes in the animation add on 2 combo, whilst in-game they only have add 1 combo.

Love nothing more than to play DDR Heavy Double at an Arcade. Toy Boxer, Chronos (WWY-Remix), and Flower by DJ-Yoshitaka are some of my favorites to show people. I'm not a bar user so it kinda limits what i can play but boy does it still pull a crowd. One time, a mall cop watched me play.
