I always bleed the brakes before removal to get fresh fluid in the caliper and lessen the volume in the master. Nuts to you! fellow 2019 Sport Glide rider.

Seems like a very straightforward method of changing the pads ...wonder why HD say to remove the wheel? 🤔 Good clear video thanks

Not to be critical, just for education, you should loosen the bleeder and push the pistons in, you don’t want the dirty fluid pushed upstream into the master. Bleed the brakes when you’re done. Next thing is thats a floating caliper and you should have lubed the bushing it slides on, in addition you put the new pads in without the shims on the back. If the old shims are rusted get new ones, otherwise you can use them over, but my guess is you left them on the old pads and threw them out. Thats all i have to add.

If you know anyone one with non-ABS brakes that wants the action an feel of ABS, I found Traction Controlled Braking (TCB), Texas. He has added length an rubber chambered diagram, osolate with brake pedal pressure, too brake line banjo bolt making system stop shorter, no wheel slides, shorten stopping distances. Without my rear tire traction would break free too left or right. With rear tire in sideways slide, bike needs too be straighten back upright to regain control, before brakes can be reapplied. This traction controlled braking illuminated need to regain bike control before reapplying brakes. I was shocked at how much shorter distances were achieved with TCB braking systems!

Hey Alf did you put fresh brake fluid back in to replace what you took out or did you top it off with what you took out ?
@RevelatorAlf2 жыл бұрын
Pushing back on the brake pistons brings the level back up so no need but maybe top up a little when pads wear down
@toddflowers76478 ай бұрын
The pads just drop out of the top or bottom; there’s no need to take caliper off

No. I couldn`t do it quick. It's a good idea to take the time to clean the brake caliper as well. Don`t you think so?

Only if needed I guess. Up to you

Your not showing how to remove the hanger pins that holds the brake pads
@dominikslomba Жыл бұрын
Could you just remove hanger pins and remove pads without removing the whole caliper?
