Concerning gen 4. I've found that I've had to play more cleverly during my playthroughs. The experience yield from wild pokemon is very, very low and I never feel like grinding like a lunatic. I always find myself underlevelled wherever I go.

Tried that once. Had a serious issue with having no pokeballs in the first section no money and not a single new pokemon. Gave up pretty quickly. Gotta figure out how to change the capture rate on the randomizer. Don't know how those numbers work.

Im interested in doing this challenge but WITH glitches. This would allow you to catch darkrai and shaymin and maybe access areas sooner than you should be able to. Might be cool to see how it changes.

Theoretically where you can go through tweaking is limitless, so the challenge would just be different shenanigans to get everything in the game (besides some things like swarms but since you can trigger the HoF through tweaking, you arguably would still only need 2 badges). Of course doing that would be a raging bitch because you'd never be able to use fly but still

I'm surprised how many people have pointed this out, this is because starting in Gen 4, that number is replaced with the "Seen" amount, rather than the "Caught" amount of Gens 1-3. I should've said something in the video, but I figured it was decently common knowledge.

What about Pokemon Blue Japanese Version? It has a different encounter table from the Western and the other Japanese versions. I feel that this always get overlocked in the community, that's why I bring it up here. Don't know how easy it is to get one's hands on it outside of Japan, though.

You know you can evolve your eevee to the other eevelution because Pokemon that you hatch from an egg will have more friendship than normal so it will be easier to evolve the two hatched eevee to espeon and umbreon

13:01 Uh... Not quite. You see, the encounter rate actually depends on the current length of the cave itself, which changes after milestones, not every individual Unown. So when you got your Hippopotas, it actually still had the lowest encounter rate because you hadn't hit the first milestone of 10 Unown.

You should try Pokemon Flora Sky, Glazed or Liquid Crystal. All great games with tons of pokemon. Or go for something absurdly f******* crazy, Pokemon Theta Emerald. A game with gen 1 to gen 6.

Had the same thing on my Pearl edition with Palkia, except it was full health and it was a first turn Healball, cause as a dumb "to smart to need to read" child, I always thought healballs Catch better if the poke is full health. Well worked for me tho xD
