I love the Alola games as a whole. SM had a superior story, and USUM had superior gameplay, so altogether they're a very solid generation, and currently my favorite. (Note that I haven't played gen 4 or 5, which seem to be fan favorites)

you can't really judge that until you play the three games with proper story those being platinum, black & white and black & white 2. because comparing alola to the others when kanto, johto, kalos and galar lack stories and hoenn's is trash is a bad comparison

@@anakinsmith4770 True, but I can compare to Arceus (and to White 1 now, I've played it since commenting this). I gotta say, I still prefer S/M to B/W, but I have heard that BW2 are better, so the jury's still out. I'm about halfway through W2 now. Arceus is tied, I'd say. Also, the spinoffs tend to have good stories, but I'm not sure how involved GAMEFREAK was in stuff like the Ranger games or Colosseum/XD; I'll have to look into that. Also also, none of the regions *lack* stories... they're just *really* basic and bad for the most part.

48:58 True. Also given how they deal with Extinct Pokémon it's weird that they aren't Invasive Species yet. Especially given that Alola finally talked about Invasive Species at all given that's probably a huge issue in the Pokémon World as many Pokémon are intelligent enough to make it to a place where they shouldn't quite be by themselves. Such as the Indian Firefish in reality who learned to immigrate into the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal. Its sufficing intelligence to do that (in conjunction with its immense appetite) becoming an issue. In the Pokémon World with tons and tons of similarly intelligent lifeforms, the problem would be way worse. (Granted, that humans ever became the dominant species in this world is highly illogical anyway so putting too much thought into this is likely for naught.)

I feel like humans in pokemon world have higher resistance to pokemon attacks (since technically humans are also pokemon) but they have little to no attack (except some physic trainers) which led to them traveling everywhere and taking over.

This is the first Alola video I've managed to watch since I completed my usum poc in early December last year... 5 fuckin weeks it took to get all the fossils and stones out of pokepelago, but my Misdreavus stayed first time after showing up 2 days after starting the search 😂 couldn't watch anything remotely involving Alola since, that's how badly it hurt me. now I have an interesting prof oak challenge, a true prof oak challenge: pick a generation with version exclusives, and get the ENTIRE pokedex full. meaning all starters, will have to be traded. but also all version exclusives have to be caught in their respective version. I suggest gen 3 because you will have pokemon leaf green and fire red aswel! if it is not possible to trade for some reason I would agree that you can spawn them in if that is possible in emulators, but you do have to have caught every exclusive in their respective game before you can do that.
