With the way Man United play, even Gyokeres would struggle in this side. Hojlund can easily score 20+ Premier League goals a season if our tactics involve the striker finishing chances instead of the wingers. Hojlund has a really good profile of striker and is quick for his height too. We just have to create chances for Hojlund instead of him create chances for others. If Hojlund can deliver we can save splashing out on Gyokeres and go spend on others parts of the squad. I remember when RVP came in and SAF told the whole squad to find him and if you dont find him you will not play. We have to find Hojlund finishing chances instead of using him in link play. Also, we havent had a player score over 20+ PL goals since RVP when we last won the league. Hojlund can deliver us a PL. I'm sure of it. Great video as always! 👍 🙂

Hojlund should be scoring 20+ goals per season. ETH tactics just didn't help Hojlund at all as ETH set the wingers to cut inside then shoot which was so predictable teams just flooded the area blocking their shot. Hojlund is great at scoring whether it's 1on 1 or shooting

Hojlund's purple patch last season was simply incredible. I am sure that with the right set up he will be our 30+ goals per season man. He knows how to time and disguise his runs very well, and we saw that in his initial days. But ten Hag's United was adamant on our goal threat coming from our wingers. He was forced to play deep, and hence couldn't impact the game a lot. We have an absolute gem in our hands, and he has no business being outside the penalty box that often. We don't need another striker. He is a lethal striker.

Its true; Hojlund and Gyokeres are very similar and both of them like to run the channels but Gyökeres is probably the best in the world at it. I hope that Amorim can level up Hojlund because he is a huge talent with all the attributes to be a world class no 9.

Agreed. One thing i've noticed is that he gets a lot of critique, even on the danish national team. However, both times when there is someone else playing striker on both teams, it doesn't change the outcome. The striker is not used to score goals, they're merely a decoy for the wings and midfielders who also can score a goal. Them scoring is not the main point anymore. So, you have a striker playing a role where they can't score goals. Perfect, you expect goals then? He always gets the ball with his back to the goal, and he can't exactly turn the defender with the ball, so he can only pass it, meaning his involvement is just putting others into play. He is ridiculously fast, give him a through ball to run on so he can score

One of the simplest differences between the 2 strikers is that one is tasked with simply being a striker hence improving his chances to get the opportunities by being in that strikers zone of attack and the other was asked to be a midfielder/striker overworking himself and thus limiting the opportunities of him being where he should be in that zone we really need him to be. I'm tired of coaches asking strikers to be more than they need to be. Love the way Ruben has set up his system to make the striker be where he should and serviced like he should.

The way ETH used Hojlund would have beeen brilliant for Harry Kane, but not a Hojlund type of player. . Hojlund is more comparable to Haaland and Gyokeres (similar profile doesnt mean they're the same level). Even they wouldnt get any opportunities with Garnacho and Rashford having tunnel vision, being extremely selfish. I see why Zirkzee was bought, he's best abilities are to bring people like Rashford and Garnacho into the game but that hasnt worked out yet.

It was hard for Hojlund under ETH because they had Rashford and Garnacho mainly playing who mainly interested on going for goal themselves. It is essential for the wing backs whoever they are to get Hojlund plenty of service and for the Attacking midfielders to feed him early and often.

Hoijland shud create him self space by running into spaces. Shud do diagonal moves that will coordinate with CM or 2 number 10's passings. Last shud NOT have his back to opponent goalpost but ALWAYS face to one of the 2 wings to view his next movement.

Hojlund has the potential to be a top-class striker. He's got great pace, a powerful shot, and good movement in the box. However, he still needs to work on his heading ability and hold-up play, which would help him become more of a complete striker. With the right coaching and tactical adjustments, there's no reason why he can't be as good as Gyokeres. Amorim would need to adjust the team's tactics to create more chances for Hojlund, and possibly use him more as a target man to make the most of his physical attributes.

As a Sporting fan who has been watching Man U for a looong time because of Bruno, I really doubt Hojlund can produce similar numbers to Gyokeres, because he wont need to! He will develop a lot but he has amazing attacking talent all around him and the reason Gyokeres has so many goals for Sporting is that when things get tough he runs through defences and creates goals out of nothing. Looking at Man U attack, Hojlund wont have to do that. He is for sure gonna cook, I really like him as a striker. I just think Viktor numbers are an unrealistic expection to put on any young striker.

Playing wingers on the flanks of their strongest foot would help ie Garnacho (right footed) on our right. Amad (left footed) on our left. Both taking on their full backs on the outside and finding crosses to Hojlund with their stronger foot! Hojlund’s underlying numbers are unbelievable. His conversion rate last season was as good as Gyokores’, despite playing in a team who appear to be actively not involving him in play. Among the lowest in the top 5 leagues for touches, touches in the box and passes received. He’s going to go off under Amorim.

Unfortunately, none of the players United have are prime Ronaldo or Messi, there’s nothing inevitable about them. Amorim makes the 9 the chief goalscorer (as it should be) and everything is built to get him shots near the penalty spot. Supply supply supply. Goals are coming.

He's 21. It will come with time. If you look at the trajectory of historically elite strikers like Zlatan, Benzema, Lewandowski etc. They only really became elite players from their late 20's. It's very rare to find a complete striker who's 21 (Haaland being the obvious exception)

He's going to have to solve the problem with personnel. I don't see there being much of a spot for Rashford or Garnacho. Perhaps Garnacho could play wide right where he is kept out of positions to continually cut in and shoot and Rashford could get some minutes at striker. Both of them have too many reps glory hunting. We need more pass first players in the 11.

Hojlund is never fit that's gonna be he's biggest let down. Hojlund and gyokeres have similar profiles but hojlund lacks game sense. He is always wrestling the defenders,receives the ball ,passes it and fall to the ground. He fails to make that run and when he makes the run our wingers does not even find him. The main reason why hojlund can't score is our wingers. The only person who looks to find him is Bruno Fernandes

I don't think the point was ever to have the wingers shoot over him. It was the inevitability of having only them. Sancho can create, but needed a long break to play more FIFA. Elanga was sold. You've heard Greenwood's audio recording. Martial's legs were cooked. Antony never adapted to a new team. Garnacho and Rashford are the same player that prefers to shoot and isn't good at creating. Amad is ok, but he's only one person out of 2 starters needed every game. What was the goal, with some very wishful thinking, was that they would combine with the striker to both shoot and link up as a fluid attacking trio that never materialized. Ole had a similar idea with Martial up top and Rashford/Greenwood wide that on paper only would work great. No tactical or coaching proficiency can save you from not assembling players that compliment each other.

The problem that we had with LVG, Jose, Ole and ETH was a lot of aimless diagonal and backwrds passing and not creating chances. That's the problem in the attack that needs to be addressed.

2 Years into United and Højlund is still struggling to find form, when other unknown strikers like Mbeumo in brentford and Watkins in Aston Villa are making waves just tells you that Højlund is not the solution. If a new coach is needed to help you find form, it means you lack the skill to be in the team. My Opinion: Højlund should be sold and Gyokeres brought in. Højlund cannot fit into United's form, he lacks creatitivity, aggression and does not even create chances. Amad Diallo was brought from the Bench and made an impact in 2 consecutive games and an assist in the third game, and we still waiting for a finished Højlund???? Come on!!! The biggest weaknesses of hojlund are not what you mention here...and I think his weaknesses will show up in the big games kind of like haaland too. hojlund has 2 main issues...low game IQ and poor technique. His first touch in tight situations is really bad. Good teams will know that when he is under pressure he will lose the ball...this same issue affects haaland as well which is why the biggest games like semifinals and finals pass by haaland. The second bigger problem for hojlund is low game IQ, he doesn't know how to find space...he doesn't know which pass to hit and when...and even when through and 1v1 vs a defender...his dribbling is not good. This second issue is why he resorts to fighting CBs for no reason. On the flip side, hojlund will score goals...he has good finishing etc but to be manutd main number 9, he needs the others things as well otherwise people will eventually ask why he is useless in big games. We have had a player like hojlund before by the way...he was called lukaku..big, strong..great finisher, good first season etc..but he still failed at manutd because of those issues. Personally I think if the club signs a gyokeres, it is hojlund and not zirkzee who will suffer. I think we will see the best of zirkzee when the team is playing against low block teams (which is most of the prem) because those teams wont give a hojlund or a gyokeres type of player the space in behind to run into.
