RGV was the first film maker in India to use steadicam . In Shiva, he wanted the action scenes to be more dynamic . There is so much that could be done with the tripod set up. He discovered that Annapoorna studios had a steadicam but his cinematographer S. Gopal Reddy didnt care for it as there was no stability- Cinematographers have a reputation of being artistic and creative but they are actually notoriously conservative! RGV countered- what need for stability in an action scene where chaos, confusion and motion are constant
