I like that wood on the instrument cluster bezel trim 👍🏼 and I agree these trucks are really reliable maintaining them well, my 04 4.8 RCSB has 174k miles and is running flawless I’ve replaced spark plugs, wires, valve covers and gaskets, oil pressure sensor, water pump, thermostat and housing, belt tensioners and idler pulley, belts, alternator, serviced transmission (fluid, pan gasket, filter), differential serviced and now it’s pretty much flawless.

I've got a 05 crew cab, same exact color as this one. 137K. Gonna keep it for along time. It's not my daily driver so miles will stay low. Lives in my garage when not in use. Perfect interior. 5.3 detail clean under the hood.

I have a 2000 5.3 Z71 4x4 Extended Cab and I've clocked 217k on mine. Very reliable trucks. The engines are solid I still have original tranny though I've heard people going through a couple at over 200k. Probably I need to do a CV axle on passenger side soon on mine. The electronics are crap for AC Delco. I think I need a new PCM.

Not today but someday maybe. Maintenance needs to be done on whatever you buy. The thing I see with most people who don't get considerable miles is they try to reinvent the wheel. The engineers knew what they were doing. People ignore the EGR valve and stuff like that or even remove them thinking they're going to make 10-15 more HP and it's just not true. If a vehicle came with EGR it's going to run better and last longer and have more power and mileage if that gets fixed. I've never had an EGR plug up and I read about it all the time. But when mine goes bad I replace it instead of ignoring it and then allowing it to plug up. Without it the system will retard the timing and it'll run like crap and get worse mileage and possibly even ping and you're losing efficiency and power. But people remove them thinking the system is the problem when the problem is just ignoring the maintenance. They steal zero horsepower until they're neglected. Everything happens behind the butterfly, not before. So it's actually a net gain.
